Being an elf, Sebille is a versatile option for your DOS2 team, here are some of the best classes for her.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 facilitates near-endless player creativity in its open system of character class building. You can build a character with any combination of skills limited only by the points you put in the associated Combat Abilities. As exciting as this freedom is, there are some combinations that simply work better than others.

Sebille is one of 6 DOS2 origin characters you can choose as a companion or main for your playthrough. Being an elf, she is ideal for high mobility builds that benefit from the extra AP and avoid direct combat. Here are the DOS2 classes she is most compatible with.

5. Rogue

As lithe as she is lethal.

Sebille starts out as a Rogue, which specializes in the Scoundrel and Dual Wielding abilities. Scoundrel includes high impact and mobile attacks, perfect for fighting dirty against enemies. Added points to Dual Wielding scale your damage up even higher.

Sebille benefits from the Rogue class in a number of ways. The elven racial ability Flesh Sacrifice trades a point in Constitution for another Action Point and a 10% damage increase. Combine this with Adrenaline to give yourself another 2 points and the chance to drastically affect the flow of battle in a pinch.

The Rogue Excels at;

  • Stacking damage boosts and getting critical hits
  • Going further and attack more with AP boosts.
  • Combat Abilities; Scoundrel, Dual Wielding
  • Civil Ability; Sneaking
  • Attributes; Finesse, Consitution

4. Ranger

The classic choice for an elf.

The Ranger is your typical bow specialist prioritizing long distance physical damage. In DOS2, Rangers also gain proficiency in fire magic, making for excellent battlefield control and plenty of nasty surprises for your enemies. With two kinds of armor to consider in battle, characters that can deal both kinds of damage are invaluable.

Sebille's ability to trade Constitution for damage output works well with ranged builds, that avoid direct combat. Sebille can also learn some Ranger appropriate skills for free with the elven ability Corpse Eater if she eats certain limbs. Use the Ranger's fire spells to create flaming surfaces to keep enemies at bay and to defend yourself if they still get too close.

The Ranger Excels at;

  • Hybridized physical and magical damage
  • Keeping enemies at length and causing status effects.
  • Combat Abilities; Huntsman, Pyrokinetic
  • Civil Ability; Lucky Charm
  • Attributes; Finesse, Wits

3. Enchanter

Because elves without magic would just be boring old humans.

DOS2's elves have a strong connection to nature, so dedicated elemental casters like Enchanter make for a very lore-friendly build. The Enchanter specializes in water and air magic. Enchanters are the de facto support class specializing in healing spells and magical buffs, as well as useful mobility spells like Teleport and Nether Swap.

Elves like Sebille come with a point in Loremaster thanks to their Ancestral Knowledge, so classes like Enchanter capitalize on that by giving you another point right at the start. This build also benefits from Flesh Sacrifice's AP boost, possibly saving yourself or an ally with a heal you otherwise couldn't afford.

The Enchanter Excels at;

  • Balancing offensive spells and defensive buffs
  • Healing and extracting allies from tough situations
  • Combat Abilities; Hydrosophist, Aerothurge
  • Civil Ability; Loremaster
  • Attributes; Intelligence, Constitution

2. Shadowblade

Sneaking and spells, for when you want it all.

As the designated assassin class, I'm surprised Sebille's default wasn't Shadowblade. The Shadowblade shares the Rogue's proficiency in daggers and indirect attacks, prioritizing backstabs and critical damage. The Shadowblade differentiates itself by supplementing their sneaking and mobility with polymorph spells like Chameleon Cloak and Spread your Wings.

Sebille as a Shadowblade performs identically story-wise to her default Rogue, while trading raw damage output for casting buffs. This class benefits those who want a blended class that can experiment with magic. Other beneficial polymorph skills include Skin Graft, Force Exchange, Heart of Steel, and Medusa Head.

The Shadowblade Excels at;

  • A Rogue-adjacent build with casting abilities.
  • Attacking swiftly and supplementing their fragility with magical buffs.
  • Combat Abilities; Scoundrel, Polymorph
  • Civil Ability; Theivery
  • Attributes; Finesse, Wits

1. Witch

Corpse Eater + Necromancy; for those of us that play with our food.

The Witch is another excellent option for a blended class, this time with long and short-range attack options. The Witch is a devious class specializing in the unsavory Scoundrel and Necromancy abilities. Wield blades and dark magic to literally terrify enemies.

Combine Sebille's intended Scoundrel skills with elven racial synergy with Necromancy. A side effect of Flesh Sacrifice is the creation of a blood surface under your character, combine this effect with the Elemental Affinity talent for a huge power boost to Necromancy spells. Summon undead allies to distract enemies, making them vulnerable to your backstab and heal yourself with the vampiric nature of Necromancy's direct offensive spells.

The Witch Excels at;

  • Attacking swiftly, silently, and self-healing
  • Boosting their spells with a racial synergy almost too good to pass up
  • Combat Abilities; Scoundrel, Necromancy
  • Civil Ability; Persuasion
  • Attributes; Finesse, Intelligence, Constitution

Sebille is another fascinating and versatile companion to choose for your own quest through the world of DOS2. Elves in general are suitable for a number of builds making them a good race to try for those looking to experiment. These are just some of the most tried-and-true class options, there's plenty more to discover!
