Valorant: How To Appear Offline

Do you want to trick friends into thinking you’re not grinding for rank ratings? Where is that Valorant invisible status right when we need it?

 

While there’s no official method to appear offline in-game, you can still hide that Available status while playing.

 

Deceive is a third-party app that allows you to mask your online status as if you’re not around in-game. However, use it at your discretion as Riot imposes strict rules against the use of third-party software in their games.

 

Many players have been using Deceive to go incognito; so far, most eluded the banhammer. Maybe because the app doesn’t interfere with the game’s anti-cheat Vanguard.

Here’s the step-by-step guide to appearing offline in Valorant:

  • Step 1: Download the program.
     
  • Step 2: Create a shortcut of Deceive.exe in your chosen location.
     
  • ​Step 3: Right-click on Deceive.exe and open its Properties.
     
  • Step 4: For the target field, add a space after the default location and add the word “valorant.”

  • Step 5: Launch Valorant via Deceive.exe. There should be a “Deceive Active!” entry on your friend list, indicating that the program is up and running.
