Weapon Lore: The bastard gun was one of the first weapons created in the Metro universe, introduced first to the franchise back in Metro 2033. It was a relatively cheap weapon to manufacture from scrap parts and easy to maintain unlike other weapons making it ideal in the metro tunnels’ harsh environment. The bastard gun got its name from being extremely prone to overheating and jamming up. It has very high recoil which makes it difficult to use without proper modification with attachments.
Can be found easily in the game world as used quite frequently by enemies.

2. Helsing
Image
Weapon Lore: Created from scrap and a modified Revolver by the survivors of the war, it is the weapon of choice for the Children of the Forest in the Taiga. The Helsing is a silent crossbow which as standard has can fire 1 bolt arrow but can be upgraded to fire up to 8 shots. It is highly effective at range and accurate.
Weapon Lore: The Tihar is a multi-stroke, pneumatic air gun, capable of firing ball bearings or incendiary capsules. It was created from scraps by the metro dwellers in the post-Great War period.
Extremely quiet weapon and great for stealth encounters from surprisingly long ranges.
It is a very unique weapon as the damage is tied directly to the air pressure in the cylinders, Requires manual pumping to keep air pressure high otherwise effectiveness is lost.
Can be highly modified to suit any playstyle.
There is a super attachment for the Tihar that turns it into a Railgun, which is unlocked late game in the final Dead City Level.
You can use the railgun attachment throughout the whole playthrough by replaying the game in Game+ Mode once you complete 1 full normal playthrough.
Weapon Stats:
Type: Air (pneumatic) Rifle
