You don't want to miss out on these awesome Fortnite female skins!
Fortnite, the highly popular battle royale game was released almost 4 years ago, and it is still one of the most played games in the world. As we all know, free battle royale games like Fortnite make their money from in-game cosmetics, so Epic Games has released hundreds of skins throughout these last 4 years, and it doesn’t look like they are stopping anytime soon.
In this article, we are going to show you 15 female skins that deserve more appreciation by players for how awesome they look.
Disclaimer: This list is in no particular order, and only Item Shop, Bundle skins, and current Battle Pass skins are included.
15. Tsuki – ‘’ Unpredictable and unforgiving.’’
Rare Tsuki skin showcase
Tsuki was released during Chapter 1 Season 9 as a Rare skin, part of the Kata Tech Set. Her appearance is very robotic, and she is one of the very few skins that isn’t human - unless you switch her into her human alternate outfit, of course.
Fun fact: Players call her “Yandere Chan” because she looks very similar to Ayano Aishi’s character from the game ‘Yandere Simulator’.
How to get Tsuki: You can buy Tsuki from the Item Shop for 1,200 Vbucks or you can get her from the Typical Gamer's Locker Bundle for 2,100 Vbucks.
14. Etheria – ‘’ Twin-souled Elvin warrior from beyond the Fallen Oasis.’’
Rare Etheria showcase
Etheria was released as a Rare outfit during Chapter 2 Season 6 as part of the Fallen Oasis Set. I might be biased, but I love any character that has magical powers, and Etheria is no exception to that. Her character model is incredibly detailed, and I love the shifts of black and white throughout her outfit. Also, she is rumored to be Ember’s long-lost sister, so if you like story gameplay, she could be a good choice for you.
Fun fact: She was the 1000th skin released in the Item Shop.
How to get Etheria: You can get her for 1,200 Vbucks from the Item Shop.
13. Lara Croft - ‘’The extraordinary is in what we do, not who we are.’’
Gaming Legend Series Lara Croft showcase
Legendary video game icon Lara Croft was released as a part of the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass. She is part of the Gaming Legends Series and the Lara Croft Set. If you want a skin that is easy to get and is a famous video game character, she is the best choice.
Fun fact: She has 3 additional outfit styles, all of which refer to older Tomb Raider video games.
How to get Lara Croft: You receive Lara Croft after purchasing the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass and reaching level 15 or you can get her immediately if you purchase the Battle Pass with extra levels.
12. Sunbird - ‘’Fly in light, and eclipse the sun.’’
Rare Sunbird showcase
Sunbird is a Rare skin from Season 8. She is part of the Sun Soldiers Set. Her style is very simple but it looks very mesmerizing - especially the new purple style she received. Sometimes the simplest skins look the best, and it is very true in Sunbird’s case.
Fun fact: This is my little brother’s favorite skin.
How to get Sunbird: You can get her for 1,200 Vbucks from the Item Shop and from the Sun Soldiers Bundle for 2,400 Vbucks.
11. Starflare - ‘’The last star you'll see tonight.’’
Epic Starflare showcase
Starflare is an Epic skin that came out during Chapter 2 Season 3 as part of the Space Fire Set in the Item Shop. She has a beautifully animated outfit, with nice drawings on her sleeves and her shirt. Also, her eyes look quite interesting, almost inhuman. Maybe she is an alien. The next season is supposed to be space- and alien-themed, and she fits into that theme perfectly.
Fun fact: Starflare is the fire version of the skin Astra.
How to get Starflare: You can get Starflare for 1,500 Vbucks from the Item Shop.
10. Britestorm Bomber - “Breezy as a summer's day.”
Epic Britestorm Bomber showcase
Another Bomber skin, huh? Well, this one is much cooler than the rest. Britestorm Bomber is an Epic skin from Chapter 2 Season 5, and a part of the Sun & Storm Set. Epic has already released 9 Bomber Skins, 7 of which were all Ramirez character models - talk about variety, huh? However, what makes Britestorm Bomber special is her smooth and clean style (which is becoming prominent with newer skins in the game), and that she has an additional dark style. So, you can be Brite Bomber and Dark Bomber with one purchase.
Fun fact: Britestorm Bomber was inspired by a concept art made by @SweetRabbitFN on Twitter.
How to get Britestorm Bomber: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 Vbucks and from the Britestorm Bomber Bundle for 1,900 Vbucks.
9. Bryne - “A genuine Atlantean princess.”
Rare Bryne showcase
Bryne is a Rare skin that was released during Chapter 2 Season 3 in the Item Shop. She is one of the very few skins that is not human, so if you are tired of always looking similar to other players, she is a great choice for you. Her body is a fish, except for her hands and legs. Since other sea-life creatures already exist in the game, now you can play as a group of fish in the next squad match with your friends.
Fun fact: Bryne’s outfit has a crown on top of her head. She is Atlantean royalty.
How to get Bryne: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,200 Vbucks.
8. Orelia - “Golden treasure, a sacred duty”
Legendary Orelia showcase
Orelia is an Epic skin that was released during Chapter 2 Season 6 as a part of the Midas’ Revenge Set. She is the female counterpart of the skin Oro. She appears in a castle, where she is holding a shrine with a Legendary Assault Rifle. If you try to take it from her without offering 750 Bars, she will attack you - or she might attack you after an offer nevertheless. Her look might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like creepy- and scary-looking skins, she is the perfect choice for you.
Fun fact: She is the only enemy that has boss music playing and an audible voice while fighting with her.
How to get Orelia: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 Vbucks and from the Orelia Bundle for 2,200 Vbucks.
7. Haze - “A dark star on the rise.”
Rare Haze showcase
Haze came out during Chapter 2 Season 1 as part of the Midnight Star Set. She is a Rare outfit, and surprisingly, she has 4 outfit styles that all look unique and different. If you have a tight budget, and you don’t want to buy new skins, she is a perfect choice. You can change her look whenever you feel like it and she will always feel like a new skin.
Fun fact: Based on her looks and name, she may be a reference to the character Maze from the hit Netflix show Lucifer. Also, Haze is my favorite skin in the game.
How to get Haze: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,200 Vbucks.
6. Starfish - “Queen of the reef.”
Epic Starfish showcase
Starfish is an Epic outfit, and it was released during Season 9 as a part of the Fish Food Set. Previously I talked about how many sea creatures are in Fortnite already, and it is no joke. But there is something special about Starfish that makes her stand out. Her outfit has the perfect balance of half-human and half-fish. If you want a skin that is still (kind of) human but different than the rest of them, she is a great option.
Fun fact: Her look doesn’t exactly resemble the likeness of a starfish, but she has actual starfish stuck to her legs.
How to get Starfish: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 Vbucks.
5. Baba Yaga - "Do you hear the sound of chicken legs...?"
Rare Baba Yaga showcase
Baba Yaga is a Rare skin, and it was released in Chapter 2 Season 4. I know, I know, she does not look like a usual Fortnite skin But, looking at the skin strictly from a critical perspective, she is exceptionally different from the rest.
Fun fact: Presumably, Baba Yaga is the one who brought Witch Brooms to the game.
How to get Baba Yaga: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,200 Vbucks.
4. Megumi - “Ex-security guard so inspired by the Wakers that she turned on her bosses to join the cause.”
Rare Megumi showcase
Megumi is a Rare outfit, which came out in Chapter 2 Season 6, and it is a part of the //R.E.M.Wakers// Set. Epic released a group of anime-styled skins a few months ago, and Megumi is one of them. If you like anime and want to play as an anime character in Fortnite, go for it.
Fun fact: Her character is holding a Lever Action Shotgun, which is a vaulted weapon (as of the writing of this article).
How to get Megumi: You can get her from the Item shop as a part of the Cyber Infiltration Pack for 2,200 Vbucks.
3. Harley Quinn - “Mind over mayhem.”
DC Series Harley Quinn showcase
I got very excited when Epic Games announced that the iconic DC character, Harley Quinn was making its way to Fortnite, and the reveal thankfully didn’t disappoint me. She is a DC Series outfit and came out in Chapter 2 Season 1 as a part of the Gotham City Set.
Fun fact: Both of her outfits are exact replicas of what the character wears in DC movies Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey.
How to get Harley Quinn: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 Vbucks and with the Harley Quinn Bundle for 2,000 Vbucks.
2. Iso - “A little rough around the edges.”
Epic Iso showcase
Iso is an Epic outfit that came out in Chapter 2 Season 5 as part of the Edge Factor Set. Not going to lie, this skin kind of freaks me out. But maybe that is exactly why you are going to like it! Her look reminds me of the character, Emma Frost from the X-Men franchise. Emma can turn into a diamond form on will, and Iso’s shape and form are similar to a diamond’s too.
Fun fact: Unlike her male counterpart, Iso has glowing orbs circling her head.
How to get Iso: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 and from the Edge Factor Bundle for 2,300 Vbucks.
1. Bunnywolf - “Your animal power glows through.”
Epic Bunnywolf showcase
Bunnywolf is an Epic outfit that was released during Chapter 2 Season 2, and it is a part of the Neon Jungle Set. Bunnywolf is similar to Iso because she also resembles a sort of diamond-like shape and she has neon lights on her head. However, Bunnywolf has two edit styles - one where her head is a bunny mask, and another where it is a wolf mask. So you can get the best of both worlds!
Fun fact: By equipping your harvesting tool or a weapon, you can change your outfit style during a match.
How to get Bunnywolf: You can get her from the Item Shop for 1,500 Vbucks.
