Which Fallout 76 Edition Is The One For You?
The prequel to the popular blockbuster Fallout series, Fallout 76, released on Nov. 14, it’s Bethesda’s biggest title release this year. It was supposed to be their most ambitious game yet, bringing multiplayer to their post-apocalyptic Fallout series. Many have speculated and given full reviews of the game’s content, and its current state, after having its rocky release.
Hearing mostly negative news following the title release, was leaving many to question whether they should wait to purchase the game at all or wait on it. If you are one of the many who decided to wait it out, but are still interested in adventuring the West Virginia wasteland, like many other dedicated fallout fans, then hopefully this will help you out with making the right decision on what to get copy to buy.
There are 3 editions for the released game, The Standard Edition, The Tricentennial Edition, and the Power Armor Edition.
All Fallout 76 Editions
Full disclosure, this is an online game, so Xbox and PlayStation users will need to have an active subscription to Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus, in order to launch and play Fallout 76.
1) Standard Edition
The Fallout 76 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition comes with just the base game. The prices start to vary on sites like amazon dropping the prices for all platforms from $59.99, for digital and new physical copies. Then lower prices if you could get your hands-on used copies of the game.
A used copy would be the ideal route or wait to see if prices drop since the game currently still feels like it is in early release stages, with plenty of bugs still needing to be patched.
Included:
- Standard game
Amazon Prices
- PC, Xbox, PS4, Digital Version: $59.99

Amazon Prices:

What is usually called the Deluxe Edition is referred to as the Tricentennial Edition, due to the game taking place on America’s 300th year.
This version includes in-game items like power armor customizations, weapon customizations, an exclusive Uncle Sam outfit, and vault boy mascot head. Selling at $79.99 for physical and digital editions.
Personally, cosmetic items are not worth paying an extra $20.00 for. Especially for an unfinished game experience, so of all 3 choices this is probably the worst deal, especially since the game price itself keeps dropping.
3) Power Armor Edition
Power Armor Items
In Game Bonus Items
- Tricentennial Power Armor Customization skins for the T-51, T-45, T-60, and X-01
- Power Armor.

- 24 Collectible Fallout Figurines
- Tricentennial Steelbook
Amazon Prices:
- $199.99
The Power Armor Edition is one of the more controversial editions for a collector’s edition of a game release. Pricing at $199.99 across all platforms it offers everything included with the Tricentennial, along with a collectible full-scale wearable T-51 Power Armor Helmet with a West Tek carrying bag. A glow in the dark world terrain map, 24 collectible fallout figurines, and a Tricentennial Steelbook.
It should be noted that the canvas bag promoted does not come with the power armor edition. Instead a nylon carrying bag has been sent as its replacement, but Bethesda has offered to send customers a Canvas bag, once they get supplies in and expected to ship them out as soon as they can, as long as you submit a ticket to Bethesda by January 31, 2019 with proof of purchase.
Final verdict is that if you are truly a diehard fan and want a power armor helmet, then this might be perfect to go along with the fallout 4 pip boy. But aside from that, the game itself does not deserve this amount of support for the hoops Bethesda has made its loyal consumers go through, just to get what was promoted with an unfinished game.
