Not for everyone, but still great!
I’ll be honest…I’ve had to learn about these types of games, cause I’m a sucker for FPS and RPGs, but boy did I have a good time understanding them. As I said I’m not a huge fan, but RTS games are simply excellent in terms of development and originality. A good game is built with care and good approaches. That’s exactly why we’re going to talk about strategy games and make a top 15 and of course, give you some recommendations.
15) Steel Division 2 (PC)

Dive into World War II and organize your troops to dominate the Eastern Front. This exciting game will keep strategists thinking and planning how to attain victory. Some of the most challenging RTS out there according to Metacritic's website. I’d suggest patience and time before trying it.

In an alternate reality after the Great War, dieselpunk machines are the deadliest weapon out there. Your job? Fight inEurope and all of its territories. A well-built world with excellent soundtracks…
Some say it’s a great initiation for us newbies. I might just try it after reading that.

Tactics and collaborative strategy will be necessary for you to stop an imminent online war. Foxhole is known thanks tothe importance of your decisions and battles throughout the war.
10) Age of Empires IV (PC)

Incorporating new mechanics to a familiar game with the goal of expanding your beautiful empire, you will enjoy this well-known game in 4K quality. If you love RTS games, you will surely know this one and have already tried it. If you haven't tried it yet, my friend...I have nothing else to tell you but: do it right now.
9) Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (PC)

Said by a player: fans of this saga are going to get much more than they bargained for with this expansion. Continue the story of the Infinite War and immerse yourself in an impeccable single-player story. This game is simply "more and better".
8) Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (PC)

Improved artificial intelligence, more content, and a great saga that with this game only took a step in the right direction. It is faithful to its beginnings and seeks to improve... and it succeeds.
7) The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth 2 (PC, XBOX 360)

Not only because of the good and interesting mechanics but also because of the Middle-earth atmosphere and all the content that this world represents, this game ends up being one of the best creations. Face the AI, but be careful, because each time it is getting much stronger... almost like facing Sauron himself.

This game is set in the grim, war-torn world of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe. A universe full of battles between aliens and fighting machines. Seems like a great game for new players and an amazing title for OG gamers.

War came to a peaceful galaxy. "It's different and solid," "it's what a five-star game should be." Sure, it's an opinion, but it comes from a fan, which says a lot about this excellent game. It's also different and manages to keep the player's attention throughout the game.

Back to the cold war, back to battle, soldier. Although loved by many, other players have also shown their dissatisfaction with the iPhone version. That doesn't take away from how well done it is.
