Time trials. Everybody’s favorite, right? Maybe not… After all, has anyone ever enjoyed the nerve-wracking ticking of the clock as they frantically try to finish their exam or the ever-growing number on the stopwatch as they try to make their legs move faster around the track? Probably not.

Newsflash! Time trials can actually be fun! It just depends on what exactly is being time-trialed, so to speak. ‘Warstride Challenges’ is a skill-based time-trial FPS where players battle demons and other monstrosities in short, highly intense game levels and then try to beat their own ghosts or the ghosts of other players at those levels.

‘Warstride Challenges’ features over 180 different challenges for players to complete, and boasts a vast array of epic movement and combat mechanics for the ultimate display of pure gameplay superiority. Players can utilize abilities such as slow-motion, grappling hooks, force fields, and epic acrobatics like backflips and 360s.

Using the ‘slow motion’ ability can allow players to melt the enemy masses with deadly efficiency in the time it takes them to hit the ground from a jump. Grappling hooks can be used for repositioning, or, if players are feeling creative, for catching enemies and pulling them in close for the kill!

According to developers, every single beta-tester reported an improvement in both their aim and their movement skills. Players can compete against other players from around the world to try and get the best times for each level, with ‘Warstride Challenges’ boasting a fairly high skill cap to master.

‘Warstride Challenges’ is developed by ‘Dream Powered Games,’ and, according to developers, will release the ‘Early Access’ version in 2022.
