Traditionally, RPG games have a fixed class system in which players can pick characters for unique ability paths or specializations.
‘Undecember’ flies in the face of this by presenting a hack-and-slash RPG with no class systems whatsoever, granting players complete freedom in picking abilities and a growth path for their characters.
In ‘Undecember’ players must take on the Evil God Serpens, the 13th divine being born unexpectedly after the original 12. Players can gain strength and more abilities for their characters as they progress and destroy enemies. The more enemies they destroy, the stronger their characters become.
‘Undecember’ allows players to alter gear, weapons, and abilities freely without the limitations of the traditional class system. Base builds are categorized into “Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence,” but players can alter these as much as they want to gain the desired outcome.
Additionally, players are granted an infinite combination of different skills and abilities to allow them to create a unique and fresh twist in their journey whenever they choose to. Skills come from runes, which are split into ‘Link’ and ‘Skill’ runes. ‘Link’ runes are used to boost abilities provided by matching ‘Skill’ runes to give abilities more power, range, lower cooldowns, etc.
Players must conquer Serpens in the main story campaign, and can also choose to play in the game’s ‘free-for-all’ multiplayer PVP. ‘Undecember’ is developed by ‘NEEDS Games’ and is scheduled for release on Steam during the first quarter of 2022.
