Total War has announced the Nurgle Roster for the upcoming Total War: Warhammer II.
According to Total War’s official blog, Nurgle’s forces spread across the world with the aid of plagues and diseases. It further states that “like any other major Chaos power, there is also a swarm of daemons at His behest.”
This “swarm of daemons” is what makes up the merciless Nurgle roster that players will have to fight in Total War: Warhammer III. Total War specifically mentioned in their news blog that the game is still in development and things are subject to change. However, this is the roster as it currently stands.
At the top of the Nurgle roster is the Nurgle Legendary Lord, known as the Ku’Gath Plaguefather. The Plaguefather breeds new diseases and plague-bearing contagions and is attended by a large number of his creations.
Next in the food chain are the Nurgle Lords, the Herald of Nurgle, and the Exalted Great Unclean One. These lords rule over their lesser daemons and seek to bring rot and pox to those around them.
The Nurgles also have heroes, namely, the Cultist of Nurgle and the Plagueridden. The Cultists bring chaos and death, and according to the news blog, “they grow strong upon the conflict and slaughter they unleash,” while the Plagueridden spread rot wherever they go.
The Nurgle rank and file consists of Nurgle infantry, Nurgle monsters, Nurgle beasts, and Nurgle missile monsters and beasts.
The official Nurgle roster news release by Total War breaks down the role abilities of each individual class of Nurgle monster with detailed explanations of what they do and what their strengths are.
