The Marvel movies are majorly successful. What are the numbers that prove how well they have done?
One of the biggest franchises of this time is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even before Disney took over the Marvel rights, the comic book movie company was on the high road for success.
As with any film, Marvel takes a risk in putting out quality material, and like with other movies, they can flop. But their record shows that that is a rare case for them. As of to date, these are the top 10 grossing Marvel films, from lowest to highest.

Another hostage, a scientist, creates an electromagnet for Stark and it is keeping him alive by keeping the metal bits from entering his heart.
This scientist and Stark are ordered to create a new missile for the terrorists, and are offered freedom if the finish the project, but they both know the terrorists won't keep their word. Instead, they secretly build a suit of armor that is powered by a super powerful power source called an arc reactor.

They are caught and Tony puts on the suit and fight the terrorists and escape, but not before blowing up all the weapons the terrorists had their hands on. He is saved and brought back home by his friend from the military: James Rhodes. After returning, Stark makes a huge announcement about his company and how they will quit making weapons.
This enrages Obadiah Stane, business partner of Tony's deceased father, and Stane tries to completely take over Stark Industries. At home in Stark's personal workshop, he builds his iconic Iron Suit, He also builds a new arc reactor more powerful than his first which he installs in his chest. Later, Tony learns that the Ten Rings has with them the Jericho missile and is threatening an Afghan village.
Tony attacks the terrorists who ahve a hold on "Jericho" missiles.
He flies out to rescue the village, but is ambushed by the U.S. military and he is forced to reveal himself to his friend, Rhodes. Stane gets a hold of the wreckage from Tony's first Iron Suit in Afghanistan and he uses the parts to build a bigger suit. Pepper Potts, Tony's assistant is sent to gather information from Starks computer files and learns that he has been working with the Ten Rings all along, supplying weapons for the terrorists and paid them to kill Tony.
Potts takes this information to Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. Since Stane is unable to reproduce the arc reactor, he steals the one from Tony's chest. Tony manages to get his old reactor to replace the stolen one. He suits up in his Iron Suit and battles against Stark, equipped with a larger suit.
Obadiah Stane plans on suiting up in his own Iron Man suit.
Stark is at a disadvantage, but with the help of Pepper Potts, she manages to overload the arc reactor that powers the Stark building. This sends out an EMP, making Stane's suit worthless and he falls into the reactor that is blowing up. Tony decides, despite warnings from S.H.I.E.L.D., to reveal that he is Iron Man.

Tony is slowly being poisoned by the palladium core.
He keeps this as a secret, but knowing that he won't be around much longer, decides to make Pepper Potts his company's CEO. Feeling reckless, Stark decides to compete in a Grand Prix, where he is attacked by a Russian man named Ivan Vanko, whose father had ties with Tony's dad years ago.

Fury approaches Tony and gives him background regarding Vanko's father and Tony's father how Anton Vanko worked with Howard Stark to invent the first arc reactor, but disagreeing with Anton wanting to sell the reactor for profit, he deported Anton Vanko back to Russia where he was sent to die to the Soviet gulag. Ivan Vanko blames Tony's father for deporting and ultimately blaming him for his father's death, and seeks to kill Tony for revenge.
Fury gives Tony access to some of his father's files and data, and from the stuff he was given, discovers a new element. This element can replace the palladium in his reactor, so he synthesizes the element, adds it to his reactor, ultimately ridding him of the poison issue he faced.
At the Stark Industries Expo, Hammer reveals the drones Vanko produced. Rhodes is in one of these armored suits, and Tony arrives at the Expo to warn, Rhodes suit and the other drones are taken control over by Vanko and Tony becomes the target. While Tony is trying to avoid being shot down by the suits under Vanko's control, Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) helps the cause by trying to locate and Vanko and disable the remote control of the suits. "The Avengers" is the most successful Marvel movie to date, sitting pretty at $1.52 billion in worldwide box office sales.
From what we can expect from Marvel in the future, hopefully, will be more blockbusters. In 2017, we're expected to see "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," "Spider-man: Homecoming" and "Thor: Ragnarok." If Marvel's momentum keeps going, they will likely see excellent results from their box office sales. But what other movies will they put out? Maybe this article. Nonetheless, Marvel puts out some awesome movies, don't you think?
