Star Citizen, widely known as one of the biggest and most over-budget games ever created, has announced that the game will be free to play from 19 November 2021 till 1 December 2021.
The game has been in the alpha stage for about 10 years, with development starting in 2011 after a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $2 million.
Along with the announcement that the game will be free to play from 19 November to 12 December, the game has also released its weekly content schedule.
Scheduled for Monday, 1 November, was the fall referral promotion and “This Week in Star Citizen”.
The fall referral promotion grants players this year’s Ship Showdown Champion, the Argo MPUV-1C as a referral bonus, for free. Players will also get the best Show Paint, Argo flight jacket, and Argo backpack for this ship, along with lifelong insurance.
The latest Lore post, titled “Far From Home” was scheduled for Tuesday, 2 November 2021.
For Wednesday, 3 November 2021, they have scheduled the Persistent Universe October report, the Squadron 42 October report, as well as a roadmap update and roundup going forward.
For Thursday, 4 November 2021, they have scheduled “Inside Star Citizen”. For this week “Inside Star Citizen” will be looking at new features coming with Alpha 3.15, namely hospitals, infirmaries, and a multitude of different medical features.
On Friday, 5 November 2021, Star Citizen will release their weekly newsletter, a Subscriber Vault update, and they will be having Star Citizen Live on Twitch.
