'The Day Before' is a hypothetical of sorts.

What if there was a crazy pandemic that turned most of the planet’s population into crazed cannibalistic zombies howling for your blood?

Not only are there zombies trying to eat you alive, but other survivors are also after you with murder on their minds. Why? Because they want your stuff! What would you do?

In ‘The Day Before’ the ultimate goal is to survive and thrive. Whether players choose to do that on their own or in a group with their friends is up to them. But remember, there’s safety, and strength, in numbers. Or at least, to a certain degree.

Large groups of players will be easily noticed by other players and could become high-value targets for other large groups. Lone wolves, on the other hand, can keep things on the down-low, so to speak. Or at least to a degree.

There are several key things that players will need to survive. Food, water, shelter, and weapons are the most basic ones. There is a vast open world for players to explore, with forests, mountains, rivers, valleys, and cities, all rich in a variety of different resources.

Scavenging in the cities with their towering skyscrapers and thousands of abandoned shops, homes, and businesses will give players the best chance at finding what they need. On the other hand, cities are filled with millions of people, and now, most of those have become bloodthirsty zombies.

Alternatively, the countryside offers more natural resources, with the occasional farmhouse to loot. Rural areas will have fewer zombies, but more wild animals. It will also be much harder to find a variety of techy resources out in the sticks, making sticking to the countryside almost as risky as staying in the cities.

There are, of course, safe-havens. Places free from zombies, and where players don’t have to worry about getting murdered for the can of beans in their back pocket. These safe havens are known as player colonies and make a great place for meeting potential teammates and for selling surplus loot.

‘The Day Before’ is developed by Fntastic and published by MYTONA.‘The Day Before’ requires a minimum of 75Gb of drive space on Steam, implying a fairly large download.
