“Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy” is a fantasy roguelike RPG with tabletop elements.
It was described by ‘PC Gamer’ as “The most innovative game I’ve played in years,” which is quite a compliment when considering how many different games have been tested and reviewed by PC Gamer over the last few years.
“Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy” has a massive fantasy world for you to explore, discover, and build on.
A unique twist added to the game is that if your character dies, they die permanently, but the world remains unchanged and you get to return as a brand new character to continue your work from before or start over if you’d prefer.
As with many roguelike RPG games, every decision you make will have a lasting impact that will affect relationships, future events, and how you continue playing.
Another unique factor is that instead of requiring you to grind for XP, gold, or upgrades, “Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy” focuses only on the decisions you make and the impact of your choices yourself and the rest of the world.
This makes careful decision-making critical to succeeding in your mission.
What is your mission, you may ask? Well, you are the ‘Wayfarer,’ and it is your duty to embark on a quest to destroy the Staff of Yendor. Your quest will take you all over the world, and along the way, you will come across incredible magic creatures, strange tribes, ancient ruins, powerful weapons, and priceless historical artifacts.
The process of reincarnation as a different character when your character dies is a unique approach. There is no limit on the number of times you can reincarnate, but, you are not immortal or invincible.
Oh no!. If you die during the final mission of your quest to destroy the Staff of Yendor, the world and everything in it will be destroyed, obliviated, and ended. All because you failed. So don’t fail!
