10. M8 AGS
"Tanks are new and special weapon-newer than, as special, and certainly as valuable as the airplane." - George S. Patton
Don't let the poor weak armor and cute profile fool you, the M8 AGS is a prime example of modern calvalry. This platform is a glass cannon, meaning that while the unit itself is fragile, it's still more than capable of piercing most medium armor. Keep this thing moving as much as possible, you’re you're only hope of survival depends on denying enemies a chance to line up just a single good shot.
What's awesome about the M8 AGS

8. M-84AN
That's not really a cannon, it’s it's just a long telescope in disguise.
In practice, most recon units tend to be quite squishy, with only a handful of them being viable combat units. However, the M-84AN is a far cry from most recon units. Able to take as much punishment as it gives, this tank is either a watchful guardian or marauding predator depending on who you ask.
What's awesome about the M-84AN
- Very good optics make this a tank capable of spotting for itself, negating the poor visibility common to most tanks that can halve the effective range.
- Except for the Finnish T-55M Pionpsv at 10 frontal armor, no other nation's armored recon even comes close to the M-84AN in terms of survivability.
- Medium stealth isn’t isn't good for recon… but is good great for a tank – use this and the optics to set up ambushes on high-value-targets or snuff or enemy recon.
- The main gun is just shy of the coveted 20 AP damage mark but is still more than plenty for most tanks.
