As 2020 comes to a close, many of us will breathe a sigh of relief, the world has been through the wringer this year. From a realistic standpoint, however, chances are things won’t magically get better because of the calendar change. But don’t hang your heads so low, there’s a lot of good things to look forward to. Coming out sometime in quarter 1 (first 3 months) of 2021, this gorgeous, pixelated top-down action RPG has a unique visual style that shows the great effort put into it. You take the role of a father slashing your way to find your missing daughter. Combat emphasizes timing and strategy giving it some tactical depth.

This lovingly handcrafted MMORPG is a work of art to keep an eye out for in the 2nd quarter. Its stunning visual style complements a mystic, almost laid back atmosphere. Exploration is the very soul of the game, you’ll find many interesting characters and landscapes as you traverse this diorama-like world.

On the subject of bats, why don’t we head over to Gotham City for a bit? From the developers of the Arkham series, this smooth and crisp looking RPG can be played solo or with a friend. The story is along the lines of “Batman is dead” (probably...maybe) and Gotham is getting a lot worse, so now the Bat-Family has to step up and save the day in this loot-based beat-em-up that isn’t as serious as the Arkham games.

Hey man, there’s a lot of ghosts here in Tokyo and it’s kinda annoying. Jokes aside, Ghostwire takes you across this action RPG takes you through this metropolis to fight supernatural monsters and spooks. A stand out neon style gives these supernatural battles some flair.
