Top 10 Stardew Valley Most Profitable Food
Stardew Valley's cooking system is quite varied, with 80 unlockable recipes that include both authentic dishes like Hashbrowns and Chocolate Cake and game-specific delicacies like Lucky Lunch, Strange Buns, and Seafoam Pudding. With the exception of Fried Eggs, which players are immediately familiar with when starting a new farm, players must learn each recipe before they can cook it. The Queen of Sauce Cooking Channel, specific recipes purchased from the Stardrop Saloon, or getting recipes from villagers after achieving particular Friendship Heart levels is all ways to learn recipes.
10-Bread
Bread is one of the most basic cooked dishes in Stardew Valley. It is among the first recipes players can get in their first year, either by learning it from the cooking channel or buying the recipe from the Stardrop Saloon. It is more of a more profitable food when made using Wheat Flour crafted in the Mill, as one packet of Wheat seeds costs only 10g, whereas one wheat flour costs 100g. It costs 2,500g to build a Mill, which can also produce sugar from Beets and rice from Unmilled rice.
The best way to produce profitable Bread is to grow and harvest a large number of Wheat crops. Wheat takes only 4 days to grow and can be planted in both Summer and Fall, allowing for a higher and longer growing season.
Why Bread is Great:
- It is a Liked item by all the villagers except for Harvey and Leah.
- It is used as an ingredient in other food recipes: Survival Burger, Stuffing, Bruschetta.
- In case of not having an upgraded Farmhouse, Bread is also available to purchase at the Stardrop Saloon every day for 120g, and randomly from Krobus' shop on Saturdays.
- Bread is used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create a Shirt. It can be used in dyeing, serving as an orange dye at the dye pots

Sashimi is a simple but delicious dish of raw fish that has been sliced into thin pieces. Making this dish is highly convenient because you can make it out of any fish – including cheap ones.
Keep in mind though that this dish sells for 75g regardless of the fish used to make it. So it makes it more profitable to create Sashimi using cheap fish and items caught by Crabpots but a monetary loss if you accidentally use fish that are more costly.
In order to make a profit with this dish we recommend players to use Oysters, Mussels, Periwinkles, Sunfish, Carp, and Bream. Not only are these fish selling for a low price but these are some of the most easily caught fish during most seasons. The Stardew Valley Wiki has a more in-depth guide on which fish are better to use to create Sashimi and which you would be better off selling as is.

On its own Green Algae sells for 15g each but one soup sells for 100, making it more profitable to craft the algae into soup, and it's perfect because it only uses one ingredient.
The best way to cultivate Green Algae is to simply go fishing in any freshwater location during any season. This means the rivers and lakes found throughout Stardew Valley.
