The long-range specialist of the space marines, the Sniper is a surprisingly popular pick of the 6 classes. With his Bolt Sniper and powerful Las Fusil many high-level operations have been cleared because of him. And he is a menace on the PvP front with the Sniper being able to flank better than some melee classes. This guide is here to show you how to reach these heights with 7 top-tier builds for Sniper in both PvE and PvP.
7. PvP Bunker Sniper
- Weapon: Bolt Sniper Rifle
- Secondary: Bolt Pistol
- Melee: Combat Knife
- Grenade: Melta Bomb
Our first Sniper build is a multiplayer classic with a Sniper camping in a high-up spot on the map. Most of the tactics in this build is simply to find a good spot to shoot and click on heads. The Bolt Sniper Rifle is a great weapon capable of killing enemies in two shots but the skill here will come from normal hit scan aiming.
The Bolt Pistol and Melta Bomb is where this build gets unique. Like any multiplayer game with a camping sniper, the other team will want to root them out of their camp. That’s where the Melta Bomb comes into play because trapping an entryway can easily turn a flanking enemy into another marker on the kill feed. The Bolt Pistol is going to act as a backup when the backup of the Melta Bomb fails or another enemy shows up.
6. PvP Mid-Range Sniper
- Weapon: Stalker Bolt Rifle
- Secondary: Bolt Pistol
- Melee: Combat Knife
- Grenade: Shock Grenade
This PvP build opts for a more mid-range approach with the Stalker Bolt Rifle which allows the Sniper to keep at range while still being able to get on objectives. The Shock Grenade can help lockdown choke points and objectives and your cloak can let you flank enemies trying to take over points.
The real strength of the Stalker Bolt Rifle is its good mid-range power that can help you in firefights that the actual Sniper Rifles can’t.
5. PvP Stealth Sniper
- Weapon: Bolt Carbine
- Secondary: Bolt Pistol
- Melee: Combat Knife
- Grenade: Shock Grenade
Now this PvP Sniper build was a menace during the first weeks of the game. The Bolt Carbine is a powerful close-range weapon but getting to that range can be difficult. The Sniper has a unique way of closing the gap which is his cloak allowing him to flank behind enemies and inadvertently close that gap. Shock Grenades also act as an easy starter to any fight which if combined with a cloak ambush will guarantee a kill.

A more support-focused build for Sniper this build revolves around reviving your teammates and keeping up your invisibility. “Medicare Adept” is the bread and butter of your ability to support with the ability to revive your allies 30% faster and “Guardian Protocol” gives both you and your revived ally invisibility. Along with “Lingering Concealment” which lets your invisibility last 2 extra seconds after firing and you have the ability to stay invisible far longer than before.
The Stalker Bolt Rifle is also useful for this build with its decent fire rate and mag size letting you stay mobile and ready to headshot any nearby enemies. The “Vantage Point” skill and “Head Hunter” weapon perks help the Stalker reach those big damage heights and keep up with the harder-hitting snipers.

The more DPS-focused version of the Stalker builds the DMR Sniper uses the quickness of the Stalker to quickly pick targets and stay on the move. “High Capacity” is a simple skill that gives the Stalker more ammo allowing the Sniper to shoot into hordes and not waste ammo. “Targeted Shot” gives the Stalker even more of a damage buff for the first shot out of cloak and “Iron Grip” gives a much need recoil buff to the Stalker given the amount of shots you will be shooting and the consistent accuracy that is needed for headshots.

The classic Bolt Action Sniper build uses the Bolt Sniper Rifle to two-shot enemies and give everyone their abilities back. The Bolt Sniper Rifle while dealing a ton of damage is held back because of its ammo capacity. That’s why we use skills and perks that increase ammo capacity like “High Capacity”, “Extended Magazine”, and “Reload Restoration”. “Medicare Adept” is good for being the designated reviver and “Targeted Shot” is great for dealing massive damage to an extremis or boss enemy.

The Sniper build that you’ve probably seen solo clearing lethal difficulty with ease and that’s all because of the Las Fusil. Despite the high damage and low mag size skills like “Lethal Efficiency” allows the Las Fusil to refund its shot back after killing enough enemies in a single shot. This makes the Fusil a surprisingly great horde clear weapon that can compete with even the Meltas given the chance. And the damage on the Fusil is second to none with all of the other damage skills still on this build the Fusil can one-shot elites when shooting out of invisibility and extremis and boss enemies get chunked but the Fusil. If you want to carry your team through the toughest content pick this build.
