We all remember that awkward, puberty-fuelled time in our lives. Let’s give our sims that experience too.
This mod requires the Snowy Escape and Parenthood packs, but it gives you access to a whole new age range! Your pre-teens will attend middle school, experience new moodlets, and suffer through puberty.
Usually, children age up and become teens, which feels a little rushed. With this new part of their life, your sims can become embarrassed, apply deodorant, and explore their changing bodies.
Sometimes our sims need a little more personality.
Have you ever felt that your sims lack personality? Well, modder Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) has created the solution. The list of traits can be seen here.
Each trait has its own CAS animations, autonomy, distinctive buffs, whims, impacts on relationships, and emotions. This means that your sims interact differently with the world around them, giving them a uniqueness that the base traits don’t provide. Better still, they are all base game compatible and totally free!
Vicky Sims has created two different versions: the CAS version and the Reward version. The CAS version means that NPCs will be randomly generated with some of these traits. I love this because seeing Bella Goth as unstable and creepy will never get old!
Bear in mind that if you install v2, you can add more of these traits into your game by downloading both versions.
Introduce your sims to the world of online dating.
This mod is perfect if your sims need some romance in their life! This is a dating app that can allow them to have flings, blind dates, or something more serious. The app appears under the phone social menu, and you can access the SimDa chat room from a computer. My favorite thing about this mod is the moodlets your sims get, based on how the meetup went!
With the one-night stand option, your sim can call someone and invite them round for a quick woohoo session. This is great for storytelling as the two sims don’t need to have any sort of relationship before they get busy. Beware, though, your sim may get pregnant!
Overall, this is a super fun mod that enhances gameplay, especially if you’re into storytelling.
This is a detailed mod that revamps the real estate market in The Sims 4. You can make an appointment with a realtor of your choice who will appraise your home. You can also create your very own house wish list, making buying a new home easy!
Once you’ve hired a realtor you can check for listings, appraise your lot and sell your property. This mod is perfect if you’re an avid home designer!
Overall, this is a great mod that brings lots of fun gameplay, and helps you make money and buy the house of your dreams! If only it was that easy in real life.
Are you getting tired of the same old career options for your sims? Look no further! This mod package comes with four new careers: firefighter, hotel employee, stylist, and private tutor.
This is one of the most popular mods in the community, with nearly 300,000 downloads. This pack makes for exciting, variety-filled gameplay; something we can all get behind.
Note: The private tutor career is only available to teenagers.
Have you ever felt like your sim's emotions are slightly unrealistic? Me too!
This mod is all about fleshing out your sims. They will experience more varied emotions and won’t be so quickly affected by their surroundings.
Your sims will no longer switch rapidly between emotions - their mental state will subtly change over time. This makes gameplay less predictable, making this mod a fan favorite.
Note that if you have any other mood mods created by roBurky, these should be uninstalled before installing Meaningful Stories.
This super fun mod adds more than 120 new traits that allow sims to learn skills faster or slower than usual. A sim will get them based on their skill level in the previous age range.
All toddlers and sims created in CAS will get some random traits that make them good or bad at some skills. You can add/remove any talent trait in this mod, but I like to leave it random!
This mod adds a real-life aspect to the game and further rounds out yoursims. I think it’s fun that the earlier parts of their life are critical to their later years!
This mod does exactly what it says on the tin! This is perfect for the simmer who wants to increase earnings or have their sim be a successful chef as well as a personal trainer. Now your sim can have it all!

Unless you have this mod, your young sims will disappear down the rabbit hole when they go to school. This add on introduces the feature of following your children/teens to school! You can watch them and play with them as you would at home.
This was created in 2017 and is still one of the most popular mods among simmers - not surprising due to how disappointing the school features were in the base game!
When you download this mod, you get two new venues (a high school and an elementary school) and five different subjects that rotate by day (personal development, problem-solving, creative arts, health and fitness, and science and technology). You can also interact with school employees and students.

With this mod, your sims can get drunk (I know, it’s what we’ve all been waiting for!), experience more realistic emotions, get sick and make lifelong memories. Ladies can get periods, and sims are more aware of their bodies.
This mod is just what you need if you feel like your gameplay is getting a little stale, or feels repetitive. All in all, this add on is a must-have for realistic, exciting gameplay!
