So maybe we have a handle on ground control, but these Montana skies provide their own evil courtesy of the Seed family.
Helicopters can come from the Seed family as a response to a missed alarm at an outpost or by random encounter if you’re airdropping or are in the sky. Best way to combat their attacks?
Take back the sky like the majestic American eagle you are and wreak the necessary havoc to bring Hope County back to peace.
The options for souped-up helicopters available are a bit tricky to wean down which are best, so we’ve done it for you.
Find out the top three helicopters to take down your enemies with ease and with some pretty majestic Montana views to boot.
3. Arial Force Helicopter
Green means go, or in this case, boom.
She’s beauty and she’s grace, she Miss “Packed With Missile Abilities And Infinite Bullet Ammo” States. When they see you coming in this one, they’ll regret they ever said they liked the color green.
What's Great About the Aerial Force Helicopter:
- From the color scheme down to missile accessories, this is a really “killer” look
- This has a better front window size than some of the other helicopter choices which is useful for spotting more enemies
- Bullet output is infinite which is a plus when you need to spray away at enemies on the ground that might be at a further range than you’re used to
How To Get the Aerial Force Helicopter:
This is purchasable at any time from any spawn point for $7200…if you need encouragement for your purchase, here’s a video of how she looks.
2. Kaumbat MH-158H Dap Sky Scarab
This scarab certainly wouldn't have fit in one of the pyramids.
Much like the elusive Scarab beetle, this helicopter is a lean mean fighting treasure to be found. Again, while the helicopters throughout Far Cry 5 do not have comparable stats, the overall weapons and machinery on this one gets our #2 spot for its sleek visuals.
What's Great About the Kaumbat MH-158H Dap Sky Scarab
- Big windows give great visuals of Montana, and any possible targets to be eliminated with your infinite bullet capacity
- With great coloring, you’ll be a raven's shadow in the Hope County sky
- A Prestige Item, making it a neat trophy to have to show off…even if it’s from 5,000 feet above the ground…
How To Get the Kaumbat MH-158H Dap Sky Scarab:
- This chopper is purchasable from any helicopter/boat spawn area for $7200
- Check out this video after purchase at a spawn spot of some of the capabilities of this incredible chopper
1. Adelaide’s “Tulip”
They don't call her "The Chopper Queen" for no reason.
The whole point of this game is the comradery, right? Adelaide is one of this author’s favorite companions throughout the world of Far Cry 5. This helicopter and its pilot are a great addition to your arsenal. The helicopter comes at the cost of completing a mission that rewards you with the ability to recruit Adelaide as one of your Guns For Hire, wherein you can have her fly this chopper or swap with her to fly the Tulip yourself. While this particular Tulip smells more like explosives and gunpowder than it does flowers, it’s still our number one favorite helicopter option in the game.
What's Great About the “Tulip”
- Once Adelaide is hired, you can call in an airstrike and air protection whenever needed. This is a preferred option to Nick Rye (a Guns For Hire option that provides plane support) given the more stable abilities of the helicopter follow than plane follow
- Help from the skies gives you free time to focus on defeating your own enemies on land or sea
- This is one of the only helicopters available with no monetary cost, you just have to complete the mission “Friendly Skies” for friends in the skies!
PSA: There are some “freebie” helicopters if you can’t get the funds together, but they do take a bit of work to get. I post a link to one such helicopter here.
