How to Generate Orbs of Power in Destiny 2
Generating Orbs of Power in Destiny 2 is the key to making you and your Fireteam unstoppable.
One of the most important gameplay aspects of Destiny 2 is the ability to generate Orbs of Power. These items are used to collect Super energy, allowing you to use superpowered attacks on multiple foes and deal extra damage to tough bosses.
Certain Mods also provide perks whenever a player equipped with them picks up an Orb of Power. For example, the Recuperation Mod replenishes your health when you pick up an Orb of Power.
Whether you’re new to Destiny 2 or have been playing but haven’t paid much attention to it, here’s how to generate Orbs of Power:
How to Generate Orbs of Power in Destiny 2:
The most common way players in Destiny 2 can generate Orbs of Power is by using their Guardian’s Supers.
- First, raise your Super meter until it’s full. The meter fills up over time, but you can speed it up by killing enemies and picking up Orbs of Power generated by other players.
- Once the meter is filled, activate your Super mode.
- When activating your Super, you will automatically generate Orbs of Power for other players to pick up.
- To generate additional Orbs, score more kills while your Super is active. Orbs of Power are dropped from enemies killed by a Super attack.
Another way to generate Orbs of Power is by using Masterworked weapons to kill enemies. Here’s how to do it:
- Create a Masterwork weapon by upgrading it to Tier 10 or obtain one through quests and item drops.
- Equip the Masterwork weapon in your Inventory.
- While in PvE or PvP, use your Masterwork weapon to score kills. It will generate Orbs of Power when you perform multiple kills at once. Note: Using Masterwork weapons to generate Orbs of Power is the only way that players can pick up orbs they make themselves.
Use the Super abilities and Masterwork weapons to optimize how many Orbs of Power you generate. Use this strategy in each of your Guardian builds and you will be among the strongest players in Destiny 2.
