The Cannibal is one of the far stereotypical killers that can be described as aggressive, addictive or as people would say it, once a basement Bubba, always a basement Bubba. Its ability to use its chainsaw to go for a killing spree makes this game a lot more interesting with no idea what might happen next.

In this article, we are going to show you the best 25 tips & tricks you should know for the Cannibal so that you could have successful gameplay with an increased chance of winning the game.

25. Cannibal bumping into a wall causes Tantrum Period

As a beginner, there will be times when you would do mistakes as a killer, and one of the most common mistakes as Bubba would be bumping into objects with the chainsaw, causing yourself to go into a Tantrum period.

There are ways you can use up the tantrum, such as when bumping into a locker whilst the survivor is inside, as the survivor would not be able to escape as the tantrum would still one-shot the survivor.

24. Cancelling the Chainsaw power

During Bubba's chainsaw, you have the ability to cancel the power either by releasing the power when it is charging, or pressing the attack button when in the progress of a chainsaw rush.

Nevertheless, this is a great method when going through objects or about to hit something, therefore allowing you to cancel it and then continue the chase without losing time.

23. The Body Blocking Technique

One of the most common easiest downs you would see with Bubba would be the body blocking technique, meaning you would basically body block a survivor, without having the possibility of movement or escape.

Therefore in this possibility you should use Bubba's chainsaw and get a one-hit, otherwise hitting a healthy survivor with a basic attack, will just escape and go right through you.

22. The moment of survivor collision technique

In this scenario, it is a technique where when you are in an open space, with no vaults, pallets, etc, you can chainsaw the survivor by getting close to them, so close that you can literally collide with their character.

In this situation, it might seem time wasteful, however, it is a good technique where it guarantees you a hit, as they will not be able to 360 or mind game you if you are so close to them.

21. Using the chainsaw around small obstacles

When looping the survivors around small obstacles such as trees, you should be careful whilst using your chainsaw, and most importantly, you shouldn't let go of your chainsaw, otherwise, you'll end up in a tantrum.

However looping survivors and catching them around small obstacles is quite easy, and you can easily catch them off guard, for instance by doing the 180 degrees turn.

20. Have your game sense & survivor prediction "on"

In situations such as looping survivors around objects with a pallet in between, you should have your game sense and predict what the survivor is going to do next.

If the survivor seems a bit cocky, they would probably try to bait you by not dropping the pallet so that you could turn on your chainsaw or do a basic attack and miss, so that they could carry on looping.

19. "Probability" situations - You can either make it or not make it

There are scenarios where you have to have a clear judgement and decide what you should do to have the best outcome. Such as when looping and coming towards the pallet, you don't know whether you are going to hit the survivor.

Therefore you should make a choice of either hitting the m1 and then continue the chase to get the next hit, or you can use your chainsaw which can destroy the pallet the survivor dropped, which in this case, you didn't personally lose a lot of time and therefore you can have another chance of chainsawing the survivor.

18. "Don't" chainsaw the survivor too early from the hook

One of the things you shouldn't do when a survivor is unhooking another survivor from the hook is using the chainsaw too early.

Using the chainsaw too early, and hitting them too early, would only hit the survivor that has unhooked the other survivor; however, the other survivor is not hit because of its short protection frames which will not allow them to get downed by a killer at the moment of unhooking.

Therefore you should wait until the animation is over so that you can successfully hit both of the survivors.

17. Pick your battles carefully

When playing Bubba, or even any other killer, you should pick out your battles carefully, in other words, do not go with survivors who might give you a hard time and therefore not allow you to down them in a timely manner.

The best way to avoid this is to find the weak link, and find the weak parts where the survivor might be out of position or a bit clueless giving you the opportunity to down them really fast.

16. Keep an ace upon your sleeve - perks

You should always have a performance boost or a perk that will boost up your game and increase the chance of winning.

For Bubba, a recommended perk could be 'play with your food, which will enable you to increase your movement speed up to 15%.

15. Use the sweeping chainsaw and take notice of the tokens

When chainsawing with Bubba, you will see a toke bar at the bottom to show how long you are chainsawing, with tokens being used for each chainsaw duration.

It is important to take notice of this so that you can figure out the gameplay, and therefore cancel the chainsaw if unnecessary.

14. Timing the chainsaw perfectly

A scenario showing how you can time your chainsaw perfectly. One of the things you can do would be to by pressing the ability button on time, which will allow you to have the maximum time of the chainsaw sweep, which would be around 7.5 seconds.

It is all about timing, and you should press the button just about when the window is closing in, and it is a great way to practise using the chainsaw.

13. The more tokens used, the longer the tantrum lasts

The more tokens you use the longer the tantrum lasts. This would be a situation where you used all of the tokens, therefore if you were to hit something at the last moment, it would have the maximum tantrum duration.

Therefore a good idea would be to use the chainsaw effectively and safely so that you wouldn't put yourself into a tantrum, and at the same time lose all your tokens.

12. Practise cutting corners with Bubba

One of the things you should do when playing Bubba is to practise cutting corners, otherwise, there is no way of catching up on the survivors with the chainsaw.

Basically, when moving around the walls, you should quickly move your camera around through a 90-degree angle. It is like cutting a square with scissors but be careful to not ruin the square, or in other words, hit the wall which will cause you to go into a tantrum.

11. Moonwalking with a chainsaw in loops

Moonwalking with the chainsaw around loops is one of the advanced techniques you could use to catch survivors off-guard, therefore allowing you to hide your red stain, making the survivor unaware of the killer's presence.

Of course, using this technique would take lots of practice, as it is much harder than moonwalking with a standard killer, and with a chainsaw, it is on another level.

10. Watching out for small neglected obstacles

When out with the chainsaw, you would have to be aware of small obstacles which can be quite unnoticeable, especially when you think you can't hit them; however, things such as a small tree branch above your height will cause you to go into a tantrum.

Methods such as moving backwards with the chainsaw will allow you to avoid the obstacles, or the easiest way would be just to give a bigger width distance.

9. Push survivors into dead zones

Generally, with Bubba, you would want to push survivors into dead zones, such as the corners of the map or the general outskirts of the map. The areas you should avoid taking survivors to would be the main building and the killer shack, which are the areas where you should push the survivors 'away' from.

8. Great 'Snowball' scenario killer

Bubba is a great scenario killer for snowballing, as with his chainsaw and the longer duration of the game, he can have that effect where hitting survivors would be more probable.

So doing things such as breaking pallets, and breakable objects will help you to achieve this effect, which from the survivor's perspective, will cause them to have no way of escaping.

7. Using the perk 'bamboozle' to trap survivors

Using the perk 'bamboozle' is a great strategy to trap survivors. One of the areas you can use these perks is the areas such as the killer shack, and L&T walls, which will cause the survivors to have no option but to run directly ahead of them, until the moment where they are hit with the chainsaw.

6. Mindgaming on the small pallet loops

With Bubba and the small pallet loops, you have the opportunity to catch the survivors off. The method starts off with standing next to the pallet and chainsawing towards them until the survivor moves close to the pallet, once they reach it, you would then move the other way 180 degrees, and then cut the survivor along the way, as shown in the video.

5. Planning the Bubba gameplay strategies - taking strong loops to dead-zones

When playing with Bubba, you should plan ahead a gameplay strategy, and the most important key component is to take survivors into dead zones. You can use advantageous perks such as bamboozle to block survivors and at the same time be able to break the pallet, so that they would not have anything of use in the looping area, therefore carrying them into a dead end.

4. Chainsaw pallet & immediate revving

One of the methods you can use is by revving the chainsaw in front of the pallet so that you could consume the one token for breaking the pallet, and immediately, go into the chainsaw revving animation to catch up on the survivor.

A great strategy to catch up on the survivor after a pallet slow-down.

3. Spam on the tokens for an increased rev animation

When bumping into objects with different tokens available, each animation will be different, therefore the more tokens you have, the longer the tantrum will last.

Nevertheless, spamming the tokens to use it to trick survivors is a very good method, such as using it for survivors who are in lockers and not paying attention, therefore triggering them to come out early and hitting them with the chainsaw.

2. Looking 'away' while looping to avoid hitting objects

One of the things you could do to avoid being hit by objects when looping in areas such as small pallet loops is to look away when you are looping, therefore this will allow you to avoid hitting unnecessary objects such as car tyres which are one of the most common objects to bump into with the chainsaw.

1. Be prepared to press a basic attack on advanced survivors

Having to mention the locker trick in previous tips, some advanced survivors will be able to use the timing correctly, and therefore, once your tantrum ends after finishing the animation of the tantrum duration, you should be prepared to use the basic attack on the survivors, as if you miss out on this opportunity, the survivors will be able to escape without getting the hit.
