In this interesting, zombie-filled spin-off of the classic tale Romeo and Juliet, we have Warm Bodies. This unique movie tells the story through the zombie’s eyes when normally it’s always from the human’s perspective. The main character, R, meets Julie and the story follows their journey as they fall in love, which slowly turns R back into a human. This movie has all sorts of different genres, which makes it appeal to a vast audience!

49.) Sharknado (2013)

Featured above: Movie trailer for Sharknado.

The next stop on our list is Sharknado.

This plot is one of the more interesting concepts for a movie. It’s a movie full of tornadoes full of sharks. It is comical, but also can be scary, due to all the gore with the sharks tearing off human limbs. This movie is perfect for those terrified of sharks or tornadoes, or worse both!

48.)  Werewolves Within (2021)

Featured above is the movie trailer for Werewolves Within!

Pictured: Werewolves Within movie poster.

Werewolves Within is also a new one with a unique concept. It is a mystery “Whodunnit” combined with horror and comedy. It starts off innocently enough with a new park ranger starting his job and he’s extremely excited about it.

Then when they all get snowed in, and a dead body suddenly shows up under a front porch, that’s when things take a turn.

47.) Scooby-Doo the Movie (2002)

Featured above: The Scooby-Doo The Movie trailer

I know what you are thinking: Really? Scooby-Doo the Movie?

This was a classic growing up, and when it first came out it was terrifying! It takes place somewhere called Spooky Island for crying out loud! Of course, it still has the charm that Scooby-Doo always has, and some shenanigans along the way, but it is overall just a feel-good movie! And why not revisit your childhood?

46.) What We Do in The Shadows (2014)

Featured above: Movie trailer for What We Do In The Shadows

Image
Body Image

Pictured: Some of the cast from What We Do in The Shadows.

This movie combines comedy and horror by combining two of the best things: The Office and vampires. Now of course The Office did not necessarily invent the mockumentary, but it certainly paved the way for it.

Anyway, have you ever wondered what vampires do? They live, well, forever! What could and would you do if you lived forever? Watch this movie to find out!

45.) Vampires VS the Bronx (Netflix/2020)

Featured above: The movie trailer for Vampires VS the Bronx

Body Image

Pictured: The Netflix poster for Vampires Vs the Bronx

In this Netflix original, a trio of friends find their neighborhood in the Bronx to be the focal point for a bunch of vampires. What could be more terrifying than a bunch of vampires looking to sacrifice in your area?

However, the kids are the comedic relief of this movie as they are very charming and witty. A fun fact about this movie is that it was reviewed by many people claiming they loved how modern it felt but also nostalgic. It also touches on some deeper stuff than just vampires trying to take over.

44.) Black Sheep (2006)

Featured above is the movie trailer for Black Sheep

Image
Body Image

Pictured: A movie poster for Black Sheep.

What happens when you take a man who fears sheep and put him on a farm where there are genetically altered sheep? Even worse still, these sheep prey on humans and turn them into undead sheep. You simply get chaos in a movie. You will never be able to look at sheep the same way ever again. But of course, you cannot help but wonder about the writers of this one.

43.) Spree (2020)

Featured above is the Spree trailer

Body Image

Pictured: movie poster for Spree

How far would you go to become social media famous? The point of this movie is to find out, as the main character livestreams himself driving passengers around and killing them in the process.

It is a horrifying concept with some humor thrown about. It stars Joe Keery who made a name for himself in the tv show Stranger Things. Something tells me his character Steve Harrington would not like Kurt.

42.) Fresh (2022)

Featured above is the movie trailer for Fresh

Fresh is an interesting take on the horrors of dating. It follows the story of a girl named Noa who met a man named Steve at the grocery store and things take a dark turn. His name ends up being Brendan and he was married. To make matters worse, he ends up being a human meat butcher and holds Noa captive. He sells human meat to people. I know times are tough right now, but isn’t that just a little too much?

An interesting fact: when Sebastian Stan auditioned for the role of the antagonist, he sent an audition tape of him dancing with a knife.

41.) Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018)

The boy who was throwing the party tried to sacrifice the Colleens and bratwursts quite literally save them. It is horrifying to think your crush wants to sacrifice you and your sister, but the bratwursts are even worse! This movie was directed by Kevin Smith and all the critics agree that this was a low point in his career.

38.) Villains (2019)

Trailer for Jurassic

I know, I know. Go ahead and roll your eyes. This one can be considered a stretch. After all, is Jurassic Park a horror movie? But look at it this way: what’s scarier than dinosaurs trying to eat you?

Of course, in order for this to be considered a horror comedy, it also has to be funny. And it has some comedic bits as well with some excellent one-liners.

26.) Jaws (1975)

Jaws official movie trailer

Body Image

Pictured: A poster of Jaws.

Jaws to me is considered a horror movie as I have always had a fear of sharks. However, I live right next to the beach as well and have never had my own encounter with one. But I can only imagine how terrifying a shark attack would be. Of course, there’s also funny moments, and honestly nowadays I am sure people think the effects in the movie itself are also hilarious.

25.) Rubber (2010)

Movie trailer for Rubber

Body Image

Pictured: A movie poster for Rubber.

This concept of a movie is one of the most bizarre in my opinion. It is a movie about a car tire that goes around and kills people. I am not sure whether to laugh or cry when I watch it.

Movie trailer for Child's Play

Pictured: Chucky, the infamous doll with a serial killer spirit

Everyone’s favorite serial killer in a doll. As scary as the concept of a killer doll is, Chucky’s dark humor is just enough to alleviate the horror. The movie itself is quite simple: the doll is working with no batteries in it and is moving and talking on its own.

5.) Child’s Play: Bride of Chucky (1998)

Movie trailer for Bride of Chucky
