12. Deluxe Upgrade Pack ($11.99)
This is the pack that came out with the game on release. There’s not much to it unless you really love the main game soundtrack or wallpapers. It’s a small DLC compared to all the others in the franchise. And frankly? Not worth the price, but it regularly goes on sale, so that’s a plus!
It’s got some decent animals that look great, but there are only three. The soundtrack is lovely to listen to while playing the main game or just chilling out. The wallpapers are amazing for using on your PC, with beautiful imagery. There’s just not a lot to it for the price, and that’s why it's at the bottom of the list.
DLC Features:
- 3 unique animals: Pygmy Hippopotamus, Thomson’s Gazelle, and Komodo Dragon.
- The original soundtrack has 18 unique tracks.
- Set of Beautiful Wallpapers from the creators of Planet Zoo
Deluxe Upgrade Pack rating: 45/100
11. Southeast Asia Animal Pack ($9.99)
Southeast Asia Animal Pack in Planet Zoo
This DLC has many animals from Southeast Asia. So if you like those animals, it is a good pack. But that’s about it. It’s pretty much just an animal pack.
It does come with eight different animals. Seven habitat animals and one exhibit. That’s a lot of animals! The animals are well animated, as they always are. It also adds two scenarios. One in Malaysia that focuses on finishing a half-finished park and another that is mainly for animal welfare needs.
That’s all for this pack. Not much, but also a decent list of animals from Southeast Asia. But no new building materials are given. Which is why this pack is at number twelve on our list.
DLC Features:
- 8 New Animals: Sun Bear, Clouded Leopard, Malaysian Tapir, Proboscis Monkey, North Sulawesi Babirusa, Binturong, Ussuri Dhole, and Giant Leaf Insect.
- 2 New Scenarios: Finish the half-done scenario and prioritize animal welfare.
Southeast Asia Pack Rating: 70/100
10. Arctic Pack ($9.99)
While the Arctic Pack is one of my favorite DLCs, it ranks at number ten on this list. It only comes with four new animals and two new scenarios. But it also comes with building materials! So if building in snowy weather is your thing, this is the DLC for you! Or if you want to make a holiday-themed zoo, this is perfect.
It comes with a bunch of holiday decorations, including string lights and decorated trees. Building dark wooden structures for your animals with snow all around makes for the perfect habitat for the animals in this pack.
Overall, it’s a good pack if you like building new things that include some animals as add-ons. Reindeer, Polar Bear, Arctic wolf, and Dall sheep are the animals in this pack. As always, they are adorable and have great animations. So if you like building things or any of the animals, this is a decent pack.
DLC Features:
- It includes two new scenarios: Norway and Mexico, both with harsh landscapes.
- Four New Animals: Reindeer, Polar Bear, Arctic Wolf, and Dall Sheep
- Adds over 200 Scenery pieces including wooden building materials, Holiday decorations, and more!
Arctic Pack Rating: 75/100
9. North America Animal Pack ($9.99)
Even though there are amazing animals in this pack, this is number nine on the DLC list. The reason is much like number eleven. This is primarily an animal DLC.It does add some new enrichment items for all your animals, though. And one new scenario.
Planet Zoo developers did listen to players with this pack, though. They made a poll and had the community vote on what animals to make. So you could say this is community DLC. There are eight animals in total, with seven habitat animals and one exhibit animal.
All in all, this is a great pack if you like any of the animals in it. Or you want some new enrichment items for your animals. But that’s about it. Which is why this is number nine on our list.
DLC Features:
- New Animals: Moose, North American Beaver, California Seal, Cougar, American Alligator, Black-Tailed Prairie Dog, Arctic Fox, and American Bullfrog
- New Enrichments: Pinata Pronghorn, Skittle Feeder, Melon Feeder, and Beaver Pool.
- New Scenario: Well, I’ll be Dammed. That is what the scenario is called.
North American Pack Rating: 78/100
8. Australia Pack ($9.99)
This is also a decent pack, much like number eleven on our list. It comes with five animals, over 200 building materials, new enrichment items, and one new scenario. So while there is a lot to this DLC, it’s really nothing special.
The animals included are all well animated with new animations added. The building materials are all lovely Australian decorations and building supplies. So if you're looking for more desert-themed decorations to work with, this is a great pack!
Overall, this pack is great for desert zoos, but not much else. While there is a lot included in this pack, it could use more for the price.
DLC Features:
- New Animals: Dingo, Eastern Blue-Tongued Lizard, Koala, Red Kangaroo, and Southern Cassowary
- New Enrichment Items: Bubble Machine, Eucalyptus Tree Feeder, Tug Rope, and Water Pool
- New Building Materials: Australian Themed
- New Scenario: Outback Comeback
Australian Pack Rating: 80/100
7. South America Pack ($9.99)
There isn’t much to this South America pack. It makes up for it with all the new building materials! This also adds five new animals to the game. Along with some plants included with the building decoration.
This pack adds many South American Temple-like decorations and buildings. While other packs include plants in the scenery decorations, the plants are more of a focus for this pack. There are many added, and they look gorgeous. The only other thing included in this DLC are five animals.
Overall, this is a great pack if you love vibrant plants and trees. Or if you want to build temples with a certain style. The animals have great animations, as always. It also comes with piles of broken bricks!
DLC Features:
- New Animals: Colombian White-Faced Capuchin Monkey, Giant Anteater, Jaguar, Llama, and Red-Eyed Frog
- New Scenery: South America Themed
- New Plants and Trees: Brazil Nut Tree, Bromeliad Plant, Cecropia Tree, Hanging Cattleya Orchid Flower, Monkey Face Orchid Flower, Plumeria Flower, and Spanish Hanging Moss
South America Pack Rating: 85/100
6. Africa Pack ($9.99)
Sixth on our list is another desert-themed pack, Africa. The reason it’s number six is that it’s got lots of cool animations for the animals. Meerkats burrow into the ground and pop back up to stare at onlookers. With lots of added buildings and decorations.
It’s a great pack for building the ultimate dessert-themed zoo. There are over 180 new scenery pieces, which include lots of colorful tiles and unique animal statues. The new animals are mostly small, so this pack is great for smaller habitats. This pack also adds a new scenario.
Overall, if you like Africa or dessert-themed zoos, this pack is great. While there are only five new animals, the new animations for them add depth to the main game. Along with the new enrichments for smaller animals. That’s why this is six on our list of ranked DLC.
DLC Features:
- New Animals: Meerkat, Southern White Rhinoceros, African Penguin, Fennec Fox, and Sacred Scarab Beetle
- New Enrichment: Curio Ball, Small Bubble Machine, Tennis Ball, Tunnel
- New Scenery: North African Theme
- New Scenario: Once in a Blue Dune
Africa Pack Rating: 88/100
5. Wetlands Animal Pack ($9.99)
We are at number five on the best Planet Zoo DLCs! This pack is another animal pack that adds new enrichments and one scenario. But that’s not why it’s number five. It adds eight new, highly anticipated animals to the main game.
Capybaras were one of the most anticipated animals to come to Planet Zoo. Along with Water Buffalo, and Cranes. It also adds water enrichments with new animations to go with them.
This pack is for those who love these animals. The reason it’s so highly rated is because the animations added to these animals really add great details to the game. From capybaras relaxing under new enrichment items to platypus playing in the water with a buoy,It's an excellent pack to obtain.

- New Enrichment Items: Hot Water Tap and Submarine Buoy
- New Scenario: Puddles in the Pantanal
Wetlands Animal Pack Rating: 90/100
4. Twilight Pack (9.99)
Honestly, the only reason this pack is at number four and not higher is because it’s a heavily implied Halloween theme DLC. This pack adds lots of new types of plants, like mushrooms and autumn leaf trees. Five new animals are added to the main game and a new scenario.
This is a great pack for making a spooky-themed zoo. It’s got lots of Halloween-themed decorations and plants. Even the animals are spooky themed, with raccoons and bats being added.
What would make this pack higher in the ratings would be the new exhibit type that is added in this pack. Guests can now walk through the bat exhibit, which is a new feature in the game!
Overall, this is a great DLC that is definitely worth the price! With a completely new walk through exhibit type for the great new animals. Number four has very high standards for this ranking list. And this definitely met all the high standards for DLCs.

Number three on the best Planet Zoo DLC list is the Europe Pack! This pack is rich in cool animals, new enrichments, and great scenery. It also adds a new scenario based in Europe. It’s a great pack to have.
The reason this is number three on our list is because it’s got lots of building materials and unique animals. The Eurasian Lynx can jump very high and even climb non-enrichment trees! That being said, the new enrichment with this DLC adds a climbing mountain for Ibex and other Planet Zoo animals.
