What are seeds? Do you mean farm plot seeds?
In this instance, I am referring to world seeds, or a way to create a randomly generated world. You can create many different worlds in 7 Days to Die by clicking New Game, giving your world a name and a seed. The seed is what generates the world items for you. You can also change the size of your world – it can be 6k, 8K in size, 10K in size or you can download worlds others have created.
What makes world seeds fun?
You can create your own world! Each time you create a world, it randomly generates where the biomes will be, how big each will be, how many towns, cities, traders, skyscrapers you will have. You get to see a preview of your map, like the one above, before you jump in to play your new world. You can even go to https://kui.github.io/7dtd-map/ and drag your files in to find out how many traders, cities, secret stashes you have – spoiler alert!
Next time you are thinking of starting a new character, create your own world! If you like it, don’t forget to share the seed with others and what you liked about it!
10. HepaticPhaedra (Seed: 431372097)
HepaticPhaedra is the name of our seed in tenth place. The seed number is what you would type or copy into the World Seed Tab. If you do give your World Name a new name from previous ones, it will overwrite that name. Make sure each new world you create, even if just changing from 8k to 10k, you give it a new name (even if just Phaedra 8k, Phaedra 10k).
HepaticPhaedra is an easier map, as most of the map is forest biome. There is very little Wasteland at all and there are no stores at all in the snow biome. You can spend almost all your time in the forest biome and be perfectly content. This is a great seed for first time users of this game and generated maps.
What makes HepaticPhaedra a Top 10 Seed:
- 8K map; Mostly Forest Biome, no stores located in Snow Biome.
- Very small Wasteland, 1 store in Wasteland near a Trader.
- 11 Traders – 3 quarters of which are in the Forest Biome.
- 2 Cities – All in Forest Biome
- 13 Tier 5 POIs – All in the Forest Biome.
9. Blackjack (Seed: 628838390)
Blackjack is not a new seed to 7 Days to Die, but it has changed slightly since Alpha 20. This would have been considered a very easy generated map in A20. In A21, it has been given a slight boost. While it is still an easy difficulty, it is harder than it once was.
The biomes are evenly distributed in this map, but the Forest and the Desert Biomes are the largest. There isn’t much in the Wasteland of this map, so you may find you can skip this area altogether. This is an 8k map.
What makes Blackjack a Top 10 Seed:
- Forest and Desert Biomes are largest.
- 14 Traders – half of these are in the Desert Biome.
- 3 Cities – 2 in Forest, one in Desert Biome.
- 14 Tier 5 POIs.
8. Decillionaire (Seed: 527725406)
Decillionaire is an easy layout with a huge Forest Biome, lots of water and a very small Wasteland Biome. You can spend most of your time in the Forest Biome using this seed while still finding plenty of loot.
This 8K map has changed a lot since A20 and is not as large a metropolis as it once was. However, there is a lot of loot, secret stashes, and factories to explore.
What makes Decillionaire a Top 10 Seed:
- 12 Traders – half found in Forest Biome.
- 2 Cities – all cities and skyscrapers in Forest Biome.
- 14 Tier 5 POIs – mostly in Forest Biome, 1 in Snow Biome.
- No stores in Wasteland; 3 traders in Wasteland Biome.
7. GSG (Seed: Gridsquaregaming)
GSG is a seed that I use and love. The name of this seed is based on a group of people I know personally that game together for fun. This seed is an 8K map with an easier difficulty, due to having a large Forest Biome with most of the Traders and High Tier POIs are in that Forest Biome.
No one really likes spending time in Wasteland, do they?
What makes Gridsquaregaming a Top 10 Seed:
- 12 Traders – half found in Forest Biome.
- 3 Cities.
- 15 Tier 5 POIs – mostly in Forest Biome.
- Plenty of water.
6. High-speedBuchan (Seed: 1966355733)
High-speedBuchan is an 8K map with almost even distribution of Biomes. 15 Traders are spread throughout this entire map with half of them being found in the Forest Biome. There are towns in the Forest, Snow and Desert Biomes. This is a great map for wanting to play mainly in the safety of the Forest Biome, but also choosing to venture into the danger and excitement of the other Biomes.
What makes High-speedBuchan a Top 10 Seed:
- 15 Traders – half found in Forest Biome.
- 3 Cities.
- 15 Tier 5 POIs – mostly in Forest Biome.
- Plenty of water.
5. A21 Memorial (Seed: Robin)
A21 Memorial is a seed I found on Reddit listed by user Rbd25 as a memorial to their late sister, Robin. Check out the post and add this seed to your list of must try maps. Not only does this have a personal story behind it, but it is also a great map worth using. This is one of the more difficult Seeds. This one is the 8K, there is also a 10K version. Although there is a large Forest Biome, the Snow Biome is just as large and most of your Tier 5 POIs are in the Snow Biome.
That means lots of loot!
What makes Robin a Top 10 Seed:
- 12 Traders – half the traders in Forest Biome.
- 3 Cities – 2 in Snow Biome – including 6 skyscrapers, 1 in Forest Biome.
- Plenty of water.
- 17 Tier 5 POIs – Mainly in Snow Biome.
- High difficulty and good loot.
4. a beautiful day to die (Seed: 1979277289)
A Beautiful Day to Die is a seed with many towns and 3 large cities. Most of the Traders and top Tier POIs are in the Forest Biome. The Wasteland is a small portion of this seed, but the Desert Biome has many stores, traders and loot awaiting you!

3. HANDOFFATE (Seed: 10848888)
HANDOFFATE is an 8K seed with a very large Desert Biome. This is a high difficulty map as you will find yourself spending more of your mid-late game in the Desert Biome. Most of the top tier POIs are in the Desert Biome as well.
HANDOFFATE is for those looking for a challenge and those okay with venturing away from their water supply to take on the Burnt Forest.
Goodbye Navezgane, Hello New Worlds!
What makes HANDOFFATE a Top 10 Seed:
- 13 Traders – half the traders in Forest Biome.

2. Giggling-Goats (Seed: 600772532)
Giggling-Goats is an 8K seed with a large Forest Biome and a large Snow Biome. Most of the High Tier POIs will be found in the Snow Biome. The Desert Biome here is nearly empty. Water is scarce, but there are a lot of stores and factories for all your looting needs.
Sorry, No Actual Goats here!
What makes Giggling-Goats a Top 10 Seed:
- 11 Traders – half the traders in Forest Biome.
- 3 Cities – including 6 skyscrapers.

1. Nameloc (Seed: 1726516973)
Nameloc is an 8K seed with very evenly distributed Biomes. This is one of the more difficult Seeds. This map has more Top Tier POIs than any other map listed and most of them are in the Snow or Wasteland Biomes. This is a great seed to play for getting great loot. Water is scarce and you may find yourself needing to offroad quite a bit for this seed.
Are you up for this challenge?
