Horror games’ hottest girls are really killin’ it!
It seems to be some kind of unwritten rule that you can’t have horror without beauty. And in the case of video games, that beauty often takes the form of strong, badass women. These tough ladies subvert the stereotype of the screaming damsel in distress, proving to us all that when it comes to slaying zombies, demons, or ghosts, they’re as capable as anyone.
In this article, which we’re calling the 12 Hottest Girls from Horror Games, we pay tribute to these women. To be clear, though, we’re sticking to video games strictly belonging to the horror genre, and leaving out horror-themed video games such as Lollipop Chainsaw, Devil May Cry, and Darkstalkers. So we’re sorry, Juliet Starling, Trish, and Morrigan… you’re great and all, but you won’t be on this list.
With that out of the way, let’s get started!
12. Zoey (Left 4 Dead)
"Help me get these clothes off?"
This college cutie was studying to become a filmmaker – until the zombie apocalypse turned the world upside down. It’s not every day, though, that one’s addiction to horror movies ends up serving as educational material. Watching hundreds of hours of zombie flicks has given Zoey an edge over those who watch inconsequential nonsense like American Idol and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
It also helps that her father was a cop who taught her how to shoot things that move in between the eyes. Zoey’s a natural with guns, as anyone who’s a fan of Left 4 Dead can attest to. Sexy!

11. Xian Mei (Dead Island)
This job can get... bloody.
A stunning beauty from China, Xian Mei was trained from childhood to be a badass. Her father was a bigwig at the Hong Kong Police, and from him she learned how to break faces the martial arts way. She went on to follow in his footsteps and become a cop, and even became part of the force’s first female crime squad.
Though her superiors underestimate her because she’s a woman, Xian Mei’s undead-slaying activities at the Royal Palms Resort are more than enough proof that this lady is not one to be trifled with. She’s especially good with bladed weapons, so if you’re a zombie, or just some jerk with a death wish, it’s best you stay out of her way!

10. Juli Kidman (The Evil Within)
"How do I look from this angle?"
Like most of the ladies on this list, Juli Kidman is a survivor.
Behind her handsome exterior lies a strong yet troubled individual - one who’s been struggling with difficulties her entire life, from a troubled childhood to a connection to a dark organization secretly trying to control the world.
Despite these issues, Juli makes an excellent Krimson City Police Department agent. When she’s thrown into an impossible situation, she uses her wits and skills to take care of all manner of horrific monstrosities. She even goes on to save the life of fellow agent Sebastian Castellanos. For all that, we consider her one of the hottest girls from horror games.

9. Ellie Langford (Dead Space)
"I'm going to need a hot shower after this."
Ellie Langford is one tough lady. Not only does she survive a Necromorph infestation that wipes out the entire human population on The Sprawl, she also saves Isaac Clarke‘s butt in a catastrophe that obliterates said city. Did we mention she also gets into a tussle with a deranged, murdering maniac – a fight that costs her an eye? And she shrugged it off like a mosquito bite to the neck.
Because this lovely lady’s not only a pilot… she also knows how to shoot a gun. Necromorphs aren’t exactly your garden-variety bad guys; they’re hideous, tenacious, and utterly without mercy, yet she makes killing them look easy. For that, she earns a spot in our hottest girls from horror games list!

8. Sam (Until Dawn)
"Worst day of my life. At least my hair still looks fabulous."
Sam is portrayed by none other than classy beauty Hayden Panettiere, and in Until Dawn, she shows us why she’s currently one of Hollywood’s most sought-after talents.
In the beginning, Sam is the only one who’s reluctant to be a part of the tragic prank that would set Until Dawn’s horrific events in motion. And when the game’s cast of teenagers finally start paying the price for their cruelty, Sam proves the most level-headed, practical, and intelligent of the bunch. Unlike some of the others, she’s also brave, and more willing to take risks to save her friends’ lives – even those who probably don’t deserve saving.
All that, and she’s gorgeous, to boot! We therefore won’t hesitate to call her one of the hottest girls from horror games!

7. Claire Redfield (Resident Evil)
Things are about to get hot!
Nothing sets us on fire quite like redheads. And few video game babes can ignite the flames of passion like Claire Redfield from Resident Evil can.
Claire is the sister of the boulder-punching Chris Redfield. Though she doesn’t have the latter’s meat guns, she more than makes up for it with her firearms proficiency. She first appeared in Resident Evil 2, which follows her attempts to find her brother and escape zombie-infested Raccoon City. She has since then appeared in numerous games in the franchise, making mincemeat of zombies and even going head-to-head with the evil Umbrella Corporation.
She’s attractive from toe to her cute red head, and she’s one of the hottest girls from horror games!

6. Maria (Silent Hill 2)
"Hello, James."
She’s dazzling with those enticing eyes and foxy smile… and yet there’s just something not quite right about her. Something that makes a cold shiver crawl up your spine. Everyone, meet Silent Hill 2’s Maria.
James goes to Silent Hill after a letter from his dead wife invites him to return to the idyllic seaside town… only for him to meet Maria, who just so happens to look exactly like said dead wife. Except that while his wife was modest and reserved, Maria is ravishing, and none too shy about expressing her sexuality. We eventually find out who – and what – exactly Maria is, but that doesn’t stop us from admiring this magnificent specimen of the female sex… from a safe distance, of course!

5. Fiona Belli (Haunting Ground)

After a car accident leaves her unconscious, the charming Fiona Belli wakes up inside a huge mansion. And she isn’t alone. Lurking in the shadows is a behemoth of a disfigured man, who, from the looks of things, only wants to play. Except his concept of “playtime” is ripping your arms out of their sockets.
Fiona starts out as a helpless damsel in distress, but with the help of a friendly white German Shepherd, she is gradually introduced to a side of herself that she has never known: one who’s brave, smart, and willing to do whatever it takes to survive. And though she experiences horrors that would forever change other people, she manages to cling to humanity, never losing her gentleness and empathy for the suffering. That’s heroine material, if you ask us!

4. Sheva Alomar (Resident Evil)

Though one of Resident Evil’s more underrated heroines, Sheva Alomar’s proven herself more than a worthy addition to the series’ roster.
Sheva Alomar works for the West African branch of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, and man, does she know how to use those firearms. In fact, she’s been using guns most of her entire life, as she grew up with a guerilla group bent on toppling the government. Her skills drew the eye of an American organization dedicated to destroying Umbrella. In time, she became one of the BSAA’s top agents.
Sheva is best known for her participation in the Kijuju incident, which ends with her and Chris Redfield killing the nefarious Albert Wesker.
So yes, there’s no question she’s a total badass. Plus, she’s a definite knockout in the looks department. One of the hottest girls from horror games? You bet!

3. Aya Brea (Parasite Eve)
Parasite Eve is a pretty old game, but we had to include it because it stars one of the hottest girls from horror games: Aya Brea. This badass is an NYPD cop possessing incredible powers, such as lighting things on fire with her mind, and even transforming into a winged, blue-skinned creature. How did she get these powers? From a cornea transplant. Yes, we know, it’s mind-boggling.
When Aya isn’t busy saving the world from monstrosities too ugly to describe, she’s a friend to children and humanity in general. Her modesty would never allow her to admit that she’s a heroine. And a heroine she is, as she’s put herself at risk just to save an innocent life so many times were she any other person, they’d already be dead. She’s absolutely divine, she kicks butt, and she has a heart of gold. What’s not to love?

2. Ada Wong (Resident Evil)
Most people know Ada Wong for her exquisite looks and alluring choice of wardrobe, but Ada Wong is more than just a total babe.
In fact, Ada Wong’s a lot of things: a spy, an assassin, a martial artist, a gadgets expert; basically, she’s a total butt-kicker. What makes her event more fascinating is that she’s shrouded in mystery. She’s a secret agent of some sort, but we’re not sure whom she works for. It’s believed she’s of Chinese descent, but no one really knows anything about her past. Is Ada Wong even her real name? All we’re certain about is that she’s not a big fan of Umbrella. Well, you know what they say: the enemy of my enemy is my friend!
Ada Wong is as elegant as she is deadly, and for that, we’re proud to include her in our list of hottest girls from horror games!

1. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)
Thank you, Capcom, for giving us Jill Valentine – one of the most badass women in horror games, and definitely the most recognizable!
We know Jill from the very first Resident Evil game, where she and fellow S.T.A.R.S. members are trapped in a mansion crawling with the undead. She survives that incident, thanks to her resourcefulness and remarkable firearms skills. In Resident Evil 3, she emerges unscathed despite wearing clothes that provide absolutely zero protection against zombie bites. Now, as the founder of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, she spends her days fighting bioterrorism, which is just a fancy name for the zombie holocaust.
