My top ten pics for blockchain games that let you earn crypto (in no particular order)

1. Gods Unchained 2020 – PC – Immutable X

Like any trading card game, Gods Unchained has a continually evolving story arc throughout what transpires during an expansion. Overall the story's plot hinges on an event known as “The Great Flood.” The gods of the Pantheon who were once united, have fallen into discord and their divine realm is on the verge of destruction. To prevent their demise and bring back order, the gods established a tournament called “The Trial of the God.” The Ascendants, as champions of the gods, compete in these trials to prove their worth and save the Pantheon. This game has very rich lore outside of the game itself and is a very good time if you are competitive Gods Unchained delivers a truly interesting and unique take on the digital trading card game mechanics that we’ve known in other games. The ability to dynamically build decks to your VERY precise liking is truly a thing of beauty. Immutable has taken every measure and precaution they could come up with to ensure the health of its digital economy, the fairness of its play-to-earn mechanisms, and the precise balance of so many different aspects of the game and you can feel that through almost every experience in the game.

2. Spider Tanks – 2020: October 2022 – app.gala.games

This one is a PVP Brawler battler. With multiple game variants like capture the flag, team deathmatch, escort the payload, and “Kill Confirm” (collect medals of fallen enemies to get credit for kills). Spider Tanks delivers a huge experience in a seemingly small, not to mention, a free-to-play package that is both entertaining and immersive. It satisfies the quick couple minutes of gaming that a casual gamer can require or the deep complex strategy that a pro tactician would enjoy. Either way, Spider Tanks is one of my favorite games to play period. I would play it even without the play-to-earn aspects. It's a unique and challenging game in exactly all the ways it needs to be.

3. Town Star: 2021 app.gala.games

Town Star is a city builder that is mostly centralized around monthly/weekly tournaments among community members with great crypto and NFT prizes. The tournaments usually have a primary focus that optimizes points. For example, one month it will be a contest fitting all of your workers with uniforms and then continuing to manufacture them and sell them to other cities via the trade feature in the game. NFTs offer utility In the game by providing “no-cost” (to build) storage buildings and manufacturing facilities that have shorter times to make goods.

4. Tales of the Crypto: Necrotic Warfare 2022 – PC – Browser

This is a Gamified staking mechanism where you stake NFTs on the WAX blockchain and use them in a “Rock, paper, Scissors” Style battle unfolding over three hours after which, you can claim in-game crypto tokens called RADS, While they are exchangeable, you’ll find the most value following the setup of the ecosystem, which is to say, you'd end up transferring RADS into ZOMB (primary Cryptocurrency in this game) then just build up your supply of ZOMB until you want to cash out. Alternatively, you can acquire and hold additional assets from within the game, which will entitle you to “air-drops” which are a nice incentive for ‘playing’ the game and for holding onto what tokens you do get. There is also a token “burn” feature that keeps the game economy healthy as well as allowing all players to advance their overall performance and therefore their yield over time by doing just the basics. Though this is a grind and less game than it is just gamification of staking. While this is not my first choice by any stretch of the imagination for a “game” to play in my leisure, this is a great way to earn game assets that yield you some worthwhile crypto.

The Scavenge screen; every twenty-four hours you COULD win some ZOMB here. The other variant of play is Raiding.

5. Zed.Run (Zed [DOT] Run) - 2021 - Browser

Zed.Run is a game of horse racing. Over the short life of this project, they’ve had huge success. Arguably, the first fully functional blockchain game with functional smart contracts but 100% my first NFT purchase and the first on-chain game I had played. Also, one of the coolest! One of the coolest aspects to me is that the whole game ecosystem along with the breeding system and individual valued traits, etc. all go hand in hand to drive the overall price of what is on the market up. You should also consider renting your horses

6. Novopangea

There really isnt enough that I can say about this project! Its a fresh original concept that is being executed in real time by a small team that works tirelessly to deliver on all of their promises and then some! While the game and its mechanics may be simple, the community is amazing and there is also a TON of cool stuff planned for coming months and years; all while including the community in the development of this world and story that they are helping build. They've gone as far as giving tokenholders main story ark primary characters' identities, they are active on twitter right now. It really is a one of a kind project with true passion behind it and it shows every day in the discord! If you love story telling, and with the newly launched $NOVO token on the WAX block chain, earning currency for playing an emerging gem; then this one is definitely worth your time.

7. Blankos Block Party V1 -2023 PC and MAC

Blankos block party is a sandbox party game that has a solid map builder for third-person shooters, foot races, melee brawls, and obstacle course variant maps. The ability to burn the NFTs that are your blankos by combining them after customizing their colors and layouts is such a unique take on a toy and a game about toys. Overall this has to be one of my favorite games in general. Competitive and fun.

8. Mini Royale 2020 – PC – Browser

Mini Royale is a blockchain-based game that combines elements of battle royale gameplay with the transparency and security of blockchain technology. In this game, players enter a virtual battlefield where they compete against each other to be the last one standing. The game utilizes non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain, allowing players to own and trade in-game assets, such as weapons, armor, and cosmetic items. These NFTs provide true ownership and scarcity, as they are unique and cannot be duplicated or destroyed. Additionally, Mini Royale incorporates a play-to-earn model, allowing players to earn cryptocurrency rewards and valuable in-game items based on their performance. This incentivizes skillful gameplay and provides an opportunity for players to monetize their gaming experience. To summarize Mini Royale is a blockchain game that combines the excitement of battle royale gameplay with the benefits of blockchain technology. It offers players true ownership of in-game assets, transparent and secure gameplay, and the opportunity to earn rewards while competing against others in a thrilling virtual battleground.

9. Axie Infinity - 2019

Turn-based combat requires players to carefully strategize and make tactical decisions. Each Axie possesses a set of skills and abilities, and selecting the right combination of Axies with complementary skills is key to success. These skills are often influenced by elemental affinities, such as fire, water, and lightning, adding a layer of depth to the strategic gameplay.
