The process of hatching Fertilized Eggs into babies is called Incubation. The main things you need to consider are time and a constant temperature. The temperature can be obtained by using fire, isolation in a room, Air Conditioners, a Dimetrodon, or an Otter. The time you need to wait for the egg to hatch is determined by the species of the parents. Pay attention if you use an isolation room, as the material of the room also affects the quality of the incubation.
An advanced method is crafting an Egg Incubator to spare time and effort. Pay attention to the egg’s health by watching the display and adjusting the temperature to have healthy babies way faster. Last but not least, don’t forget it’s useless to hatch an egg if you don’t take good care of the baby after!
How it works:
- Place a Fertilized Egg directly on the floor/ ground. This is an important detail
- Adjust the temperature so it’s perfect for incubation. If it’s not a correct temperature, the egg will lose health and eventually die. See the methods I described above
- You can optionally pause the incubation by picking up de egg. To preserve the incubation progress until that point, put the egg in a refrigerator
- Watch your egg hatch and turn into an adorable little creature
