Stone is a common resource in Ark. If you hope to play the game without going to the trouble of getting stone, good luck. Almost every craftable item requires this material. So, how to collect? There are multiple methods that can be used, depending on your level. For a beginner, the easiest way to get stone is to craft a hatchet. Start with a wooden one, then level up and craft the stone and metal ones, as they are way more effective. If you just spawned, using your bare is also an option, just not the best one. As you discover more about Ark and start taming dinos, other methods will become available. The best way to harvest stone is by using the power of a tamed Ankylosaurus or Doedicurus. These creatures are masters in stone gathering.

- Gather the necessary materials to craft a metal hatchet (the stone one is also acceptable)
- Find some rocks and mine them with the hatchet
- Get decent amounts of stone with little effort
