This is one of the basic skills you have to learn when you start playing Ark. After all, it’s not even that hard. Unlike real life, crafting in video games only requires some resources and the press of a button. If you play on PC, when you want to craft an item, simply open your inventory by pressing the “I” key. Above the inventory, there will be two boxes. One will say “Craftables” and the other “Inventory Items”. For a structure/tool to become craftable, you need to unlock its engram using points. How do you get these points? By leveling up. It may sound tricky, but it will come to you instinctively once you start exploring the game.
How it works:
- Level up and unlock your preferred Engrams
- Check out the necessary resources for crafting an item and gather them
- Press “Craft Item” or “Craft All” while you are in the Craftables section of your Inventory
- Enjoy your new tools/structures
