Eating is an essential part of every survival game there is out there and cooked meat is usually the most nutritious meal someone can get. Cook meat in Ark Survival Evolved by using a Campfire or an Industrial Grill, if you are more advanced. You can get meat by killing and harvesting a creature’s body with an ax. Eating the meat in its raw form will satisfy your hunger, but will also make you sick, so cooking it really is the best option.
Using a Campfire is definitely the easiest way to prepare any kind of meat, as it’s available in the Early-Game and it’s quite easy to craft it. Moreover, it will offer you other advantages. It’s a source of charcoal and a useful source of light when everything is covered in darkness. If a campfire is too basic for you, the Industrial Cooker is worth it, as it will cook the food 12 x faster and can hold more items.
How it works:
- Craft a Campfire/ Industrial Grill
- Place the meat in the Campfire’s inventory, along with a source of fuel (thatch, wood). If you use an Industrial Grill, add gasoline instead by pressing the ‘Use” key (default E).
- Wait for the meat to cook and then collect it
