Playing Ark is an adventure itself and Events are the little treats you occasionally get for surviving so long in this crazy world. There are two kinds of events: Holiday Events and Miscellaneous Events. Both of them offer you excellent items and unique dinosaurs, but some of them are timed and some aren’t. Here are some examples: ARK: Eggcellent Adventure / Easter - activated as ActiveEvent=Easter (Holiday Event) and Extinction Chronicles - typed as ActiveEvent=ExtinctionChronicles (Miscellaneous Event).
For a simple, single-player game, you can just follow this sequence: Steam > “ARK” > “Properties” > “General” > “Set Launch Options” and paste in “ActiveEvent=(The Event)”. However, if you want to activate any accessible event on your server, there is a method that can cover every variable.
How it works:
- Open the TCADMIN panel
- Choose the box named “Commandline Settings”
- Click Edit on the Command-line that is enabled. If you want to change the map or the event, you can set up other command-lines too
- Find the button that says “Enable Special ARK Events”
- Select the event and don’t forget to save
