5. Giant Beaver Dam

Giant beaver dams are wooden formations made by Castoroides. You can find these dams usually in rivers or lakes that are in the woods. All you need to do is to go access the dam’s inventory and grab the cementing paste that’s in it (usually a decent amount of it). Sounds easy, right? Well... it’s not actually that easy. These dams are usually being webbed by beavers, which are quite agile and damaging creatures. You better be a fast runner if you want to use this method.
How does this method work?
- Find a Castoroides spawn point
- Search for dams
- Access the dam’s inventory
- Take the cementing paste
- RUN!
4. Crafting in Mortar and Pestle

This method is the most classic one. Just build a mortar and pestle, unlock the cementing paste engram, and you’ll be able to build cementing paste. For one piece of cementing paste, you’ll need 4x Chitin/Keratin/Shell Fragments and 8x Stone. These materials are quite easy to get. The downside to this method is its slowness. The cementing paste is being crafted extremely sluggish. This method is a great way to start your way into the game when no other methods of getting this material are being available.
How does this method work?
- Craft yourself a mortar and pestle
- Unlock the cementing paste engram
- Get some stone and chitin/keratin/shell fragments
- Start crafting
3. Achatina farm
Check out the next video to see how this method works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GmJh-Rjf1k&ab_channel=Syntac
This method might be the most fun one. It requires you to create a snail farm! I mean that’s pretty fun. Achatinas are mostly found in marshes and jungles and are very slow and non-threatening. These creatures can be passively tamed. Once it’s tamed, it will produce one cementing paste every minute. You can get these materials by accessing its inventory. Although it will stop producing cementing paste while it holds 100 pieces, taming multiple of these guys will get you some significant passive cementing paste.
How does this method work?
- Find some Achatinas
- Tame them
- Take them home
- Occasionally collect the Cementing Paste from their inventory
2. Hunting with Beelzebufo

One of the most efficient and fun methods, it involves riding and hunting with a frog! Well… might sound easy but beelzebufos are usually found in swamps, one of the most dangerous biomes in the isle. If you’re quite far in the game, you could for sure survive the harshness of that biome, so head over there and tame a beelzebufo. Build a saddle and go hunt some Meganuras or Titanomyrma. Once you kill those, they will convert to cementing paste. This method is not only fun but very effective as well!
How does this method work?
- Go in the swamp
- Tame a Beelzebufo
- Build a Beelzebufo saddle
- Hunt Meganuras or Titanomyrmas
- Collect the cementing paste from your mounts inventory
1. Crafting in Chemistry Bench
Check out the next video to see how this method works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCyWvZUNN_w&ab_channel=Syntac
This method might be a bit boring, but it’s the most efficient one. Everyone uses it because it saves so much time and once you get to a point in the game using this is extremely easy. You just need to get to the mid-game, where you’ll be able to access the Chemistry Bench and all the necessary wires. Build one of those, get some stone and chitin/keratin/shell fragments, and just start crafting. It’s essentially an upgraded version of the mortar and pestle. This machine uses 16x chitin/keratin/shell fragments and 32x stone in one go, crafting 4 cementing paste at once. This is a great way to start automating your base!
How does this method work?
- Get to the middle game
- Get the chemistry bench engram
- Build one
- Farm some stone and chitin/keratin/shell fragments
- Start crafting Cementing Paste
