The Stegosaurus is an early game tame that is fairly easy to get. You can find one of these guys almost everywhere (starting areas). The Stego has a decent wood farming efficiency.Combining this with the fact that you can quite safely ride on it (it has high health and damage input) makes this dino an altogether great way of starting to farm wood. More than that, its weight is decent, so you can store great amounts of wood at once.

Not only that, but it is extremely powerful. Sometimes even more powerful than a T-Rex. If the Theri doesn’t make you feel safe, I don’t know what will. This is surely one of the greatest tames to have laying around for multiple reasons.

The fact that it is quite strong and fast, and the decent speed of traveling through water makes for a nice dino to have available at any given time. It is recommended for anyone to have one of these guys around their base, as you might not know when you will need a fast and efficient way of gathering wood.
