Nick Luna is a writer based in Portland, OR. While obtaining a BA in Communications with a minor in Law & Policy at the University of Washington, he wrote for The Tacoma Ledger and Grit City Magazine, while simultaneously building years of experience as a professional creative writer. As a game writer, Nick holds accomplished experience in and loves writing about topics pertaining first person shooters, but his favorite is Halo. From the moment he got Xbox Live as a 13-year-old geek, Nick has been hooked on the series, starting with Halo 3 and continuing through to Halo Infinite. He is experienced in, and frankly, loves writing about the techniques that set the pros above the joes. There is something magical in discovering unintentional movement and mechanical tech in first person shooters. Things like reload canceling, B-hopping, spring jumping, and quick scoping have become instrumental in player expression and diversity. Expertise of said stylings has turned lan party leaders into E-Sports superstars and curious fans into dedicated players.
