Losing your tames is actually a common problem for all Ark players. This is why a lot of people came up with creative methods of finding them. As you search the Internet, these methods become more and more interesting. We have already talked in another article about crafting a transponder and equipping tames with its nodes in order to find them. Here is another available option of finding lost tames, that doesn’t involve crafting any items. It uses taming groups to organize and keep track of all tamed dinosaurs and it’s especially useful for short distances. Taming groups have more advantages, like separate fighting and following settings, so this method is definitely worth considering.
How it works:
- Assign a tame to a group on PS4 by holding the triangle button in front of the dinosaur. Choose the option “Modify tame group” and assign a number
- Next, hold the touchpad/options. Green arrows will appear on the screen, pointing to all available tames in the area
- Use this setting to your advantage and locate your tame. Clear the taming groups to highlight the one creature you are looking for or add another tame of the same type in that specific class, so it will only highlight that species.
